The RRP is £19.99 so seeing already for £17.99 is a great deal, imo. Mario 3D World is by far the best of the second wave of Wii U Selects so pre-order the game if you haven't already it's awesome!

Not defensive no, but what you're saying isn't true.
While there might be some shared assets across the stages, books 1-3 are all different. It's 'Book 4' that are twists on levels you've played before. Even then; that's 60+ new levels. It's not as if the solutions are the same but with a different toad.
As for it could've/should've been DLC, I'll meet you on that yeah. Although to be fair, it did launch at retail at a lower RRP. (£29.99 I believe) And while it might have been £19.99 as digital (in line with Super Luigi U) if that were the case we wouldn't be seeing it for £17.99 and lower, on selects now. So, swings and roundabouts.

Getting defensive, now? I played it all and wasn't really impressed with the game at all, only Book 1 was great, the rest was meh.

You should try actually playing it. I think you're in for a surprise...

The same levels with the female Toad.

Rehashes of what?

It's literally a mini-game that could've been a DLC for Mario 3D World. Book 1 was the only one which featured new and original stages whilst 2 and 3 were rehashes.

Been hanging five for Captain Toad waiting for it to appear on the cheap. Think that and Yoshi's Wooly World are the only two games out I still want for my Wii U collection (till Zelda)

Probably best holding off to see what base.com price them up at before pre ordering as they have had the cheapest pre order prices on these select games. These will no doubt be around £15.99 from them.
Heat added though as it's nice to see these titles finally drop for Wii U owners.

Hopefully they'll also have Fast Neo and Steamworld Collection for those prices too, or £14.99.

It's about time we got 3D World. It's been available in the U.S. at this kind of price for ages!

So glad to see 3D World on the Selects list. Great price for such a brilliant game.
