Have been looking for a deal on a new tablet. The new ones of these were out of stock on o2 website but this morning found this refurb deal for about half the price. Always get refurbs from o2 and they are always like new.

At £144 for the device (24 months at £6) think this is a great deal, especially as the Wifi only is selling for £299.

Let me explain this for once again.

1) Follow the get deal button, purchase the £29.99 + £4*24 tariff.
2) Receive your tablet, inspect it if it's in a good (A grade) condition.
3) Put a sim card into your tablet and go online, request the unlock code.
4) Call 202 from the same sim card as it will make things much easier, go straight to the I want to leave o2 department or something like that (I think it's thinking of leaving us? Press something) as that will connect you with the right people much quicker.
5) Tell the person you want to pay your device in full and cancel the airtime. They will ask you why, tell them you don't think the airtime is a good value for money, but you want to keep the tablet because you think it's an outstanding value for money. They will ask you for card details, you tell those details and that's it, they cancel it for you in about an hour.
6) You own the tablet from that point, assumed that you have done this straightaway, there won't be any charges, otherwise you will have to pay as much airtime as you have used.
7) Unlock code will come through in about 2 to 48 hours.
:sunglasses: In first month they might take the airtime from your bank account through direct debit because they generate the bill the next day you apply for a contract, don't be scared as this will be refunded the next month, if not, call them again.

And that's how you get a bargain for your money.

I rooted mine and changed the ROM to a marshmallow one from XDA. Standby time went up from 2.5 days to about 8 days. Not tried power saving mode but it's a big difference. Also faster at doing things. My tablet came with marshmallow already rather than lollipop.

Yes it has multi user on Marshmallow ( I have set up 3 multi users already!)

I had the same problem. Bought the 9.7" tab from the other deal and followed the process to cancel the airtime and payoff the device plan.
O2 initially took first month's payment and then managed to also debit my account with the airtime cancellation amount. All this during the last month when I was calling them to correct the final bill.

After getting fed up made a written compliant! Finally all the charges made were refunded and a £50 credit as well.
I would say that I am overall happy with the final result

After updating to marshmallow, latest ota update, if I shutdown the tablet and leave it to charge, it turns itself on once it has fully charged.
Anyone else experiencing this? Haven't done a factory reset yet.

The £17.50 was always likely to be charged the bill was issued before we even got them, got similar £300+ bill today too. An email I got on the 13th says that if we end up in credit we need to ask for a refund on o2.co.uk/finalbillbefund . Seems an odd way to do it.

On the o2 account page it shows that most of my £17.50 was refunded before they charged £348.xx in early termination charges.

Been charged £17.50 for the first month, even though I know from experience that this should be refunded the next month. Surprisingly my new bill states I have an early termination fee of £340. Called them up they said this is a mistake and that they fill fix it, however they won't be refunding £17.50 as that is what you are supposed to pay apparently if you wan't to get out of the airtime. However I am going to chase this up and make sure it is refunded as it was within 14 days cooling off period. Someone messed up this big time for me tbh. Gonna cancel direct debit as well just in case.

Definitely issue with marshmallow having issues with screen on time and batty life. Also doze doesn't work. Yesterday left it on 30% a few hours later it died. Today from 93% to 40 ish on standby within 8 hours standby. I got better screen on time and stands on lollipop. A few days ago went from 30% to dead within less than half hour of normal browsing and YouTube. Didn't happen with lollipop.

Hey guys, reading some of the comments about heating up and freezing - mine isn't behaving this way at all. Im running marshmallow on mine, I get 4 hours screen on time with sim card inside the device. Also doze mode works great too.
I have rooted my device and literally removed all apps apart from phone, contacts and text app.
When it comes to heating up, it may as well be a process running in the background or more demanding apps running in the foreground.

My tablet started to play up quite badly, it was frozen yesterday for about 2 minutes without any valuable reason, I was just doing casual browsing, after it came out of lag the battery started draining enormously. I have charged it to 100% and it's been fine up to when it got down to 50% this morning when I was doing casual browsing and some messenger again, I have also checked how much ram tablet is using because I was experienced some lags beforehand, and it said that 1.6GB are free, but then the funny part started, the tablet froze completely for about 5 minutes, then eventually unlocked itself and shown me that messenger is not responding, then locked itself back up and restarted 10 minutes later to comeback on with 30% battery left?! I am not a Samsung Expert, but I am pretty sure this should not be really happening. (I didn't had any apps running in the background or anything). It worries me that when I will require a high performance out of it, it will be unable to cope, if things like this happens when apps like messenger and chrome are used and not even simultaneously.
Tempted to call o2 and see what they say.

I haven't had a chance to, as at work after downloading the firmware, then grabbing Odin I tried to get the Samsung usb drivers as IT have stopped devices from auto installing, and the website I was about to download from showed some porn advert! Whoops.

Hi I need some advice. I picked my tablet up on Monday but when I got it home couldn't open the Micro SD card slot. I took it into the o2 shop today and they gave me a number to call for a replacement. So I need to know can I pay off the device and cancel the airtime and still get it replaced ? Think my battery life has not been good on Marshmallow. Have hardly used it or installed many things so can't be those but on sleep mode, no power saving mode on, it drops by 50% in 2-3 days... In which case am guessing it should be flat by the end of the week.
Tempted to stick power saving mode on and hope for an update otherwise go back to Lollipop.

Something similar happened with Note 4 with the original Marshmallow release. And a couple of issues remain like the micro sd card not recognised which annoys me a lot. Think Samsung and Android Marshmallow are not best of friends.

If your using the sim they provided with the tablet then it will not make calls because its a data only sim.
You need a normal phone sim to make calls.
bednim
8 Aug 16 #409
BTU is for UK while XEU is for UK/Ireland. But to be fair, it doesn't matter which one you pick - as long as its European country - that's fine. I'm showing emergencies calls only as my sim has expired but I can't imagine having problems to make/receive calls...

You can always revert back to 5.0.2 using exactly same steps just get the firmware from same website.

Firmware and instructions attached in the link below. You all doing it on your own responsibility, although this firmware is genuine from Samsung, something still may go wrong during update...

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/77627/T715XXU2BPE2_T715BTU2BPE2_BTU/

As for root, xposed and TWRP - these guides are available on XDA. I will not put them in here as these guides are not 100% straightforward and if you will not follow something correctly/choose wrong file/device power off during work/etc etc - you will brick your device and there is very slight chance that samsung will honour the warranty.

If you have rooted your device before-you most likely know where to look for the info.

Don't think HUKD is good place to show tricks that belong to XDA or other Android forums...

Please take no offence!

When I tried to cancel the airtime today (ordered on Truesday, arrived on Thursday) I was given the option of a replacement PAYG sim card or to give 30 days notice.

I went for the sim card replacement as I didn't want to be charged for 1 month. Is that right ?
Crossbow to rofldinho
6 Aug 16 1 #382
Just go onto online chat & tell the chat support person you want to pay off the device plan in full (if applicable) & cancel airtime. Get a written reply from them that it is cancelled & you do not owe them any more money. Keep/save a record of the chat transcript (in case of future disputes).

If you don't cancel airtime, they will think you still want to continue with them & will charge you every month as normal.

Not sure why you were offered a replacement PAYG sim if you bought this on contract. Have you posted in the correct thread? There are so many O2 phone/tablet HUKD deals on at the moment, that it's quite easily done!

These are the terms, which I copied and pasted as I placed order in the order process, 14 days cooling off:-

Your Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement

If you change your mind about the Equipment (usually a Mobile Phone) you've bought from us, you can return items once and exchange them for another within the 14 day Change-Your-Mind Period (details will be in your welcome pack). You'll only be able to do this if the Equipment is undamaged, unlocked (i.e. free of security or software locks), in its original packaging and you bring in your proof of purchase with it. If you'd rather, you can return your Equipment and cancel your Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement during the Change-Your-Mind Period. You'll be charged for Non-Returns. If you've taken Equipment from us under a separate Device Plan and you are withdrawing from that Device Plan after the Change-Your-Mind Period, you will have to pay in full for your Equipment. If you've just taken Services from us then you can also cancel within the 14 day Change-Your-Mind Period. You agree that Services will begin immediately if you already have a SIM Card or when you receive that SIM Card. You'll have to pay for any calls, texts, data and other charges you've incurred, including during the Change-Your-Mind Period. For full details, ask in store or see below for our policy on repairs and returns. Details are in paragraphs 10, 12 and 13 of the Agreement and on our Website.

splender
6 Aug 16 #377
I believe so, you may want to test it with a GPS detector app.
.
I had tested maps and Sat Nav with iPAD cellular (with mobile broadband switched on; iPAD has no GPS hardware) and the amount of mobile data used is in megabytes so nothing to worry about if one has a limited data plan.
Pondlife
6 Aug 16 #376
Well yes, but if you've mobile data switched on then location will be least of your worries for data use.

So assumption is that that's off, if mobile data is off then the location switch will just switch gps on and off won't it?
splender
6 Aug 16 #375
When you are out , location services relies on either or both of "mobile data" (needs mobile provider network) ; GPS being on (needs clear view of sky for at least around 5 satellites to do triangulation accurately).
Pondlife
6 Aug 16 #374
If you've got mobile data turned off wouldn't that limit the location switch anyway?
splender
6 Aug 16 #373
Yes, there is location control on the notification panel, but there are three levels of location control, GPS, wifi, and broadband. I guess if you switch off mobile data and wifi, while you are out, then , that toggles the GPS only. And if you switch off GPS in the settings, then that toggles wifi and /or mobile data location services.

Grabbing that now. Yeah tried different ports last night. Only the one normal pc but will try on windows tablet later if no joy. Both on W10 though

Mine came from ebay today too, very similar style by looks of it, same price too. Was bit tighter fit than I'd have liked and wish it left gaps for the micro sd and sim card slots. Nice size, comfortably padded, tablet feels more pleasant in the hand in it.

Yeah tested one of the EE £5 sims, signal bit weak indoors but it works.

Before I turned it on I thought the two white specks on the top were for notifications. Wasn't bothered about flash as doubt I'd use it for camera. NFC and GPS too don't worry me much as it would if it was a phone though GPS is listed in specs http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/tablets/galaxy-tab-s/SM-T715NZKEBTU

Bought without research and found Galaxy Tab S2 lacks a notification lamp, a camera flash, an IR-blaster, there is no NFC. Not a deal breaker for me. Battery lasted quite well, after first charge, not quite as long as an iPAD mini 2 which is 70g heavier but still very good. (Case though add quite a bit of weight, so no material difference in weight between ipad 2 mini and this Tab S2.)

This case arrived really quick from Amazon, ordered Thursday (came Saturday); https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01D7IRV5S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Fitted nicely and all camera, volume controls are exactly the right places and auto-wake and close. I got the green owl design even though the stockk photo did not have camera hole right place but the actual is really for the Tab S2. And it is 360 rotates. A bargain for £3.50 delivered. (Just choose the design you like and ignore the different camera hole and back designs as they are all stock photos for a variety of different tablets.)

This is really weird but try Install Samsung kies software, see if you can manually update through kies as updates comes there much quicker than ota.
If kies won't find new updates, try odin again. Switch cables and usb ports.
Never had this issue so don't know what the problem could be.
Can you try different pc? I'm using Windows 8 on mine...

Personallly I requested on the online form, then when I'd not got within 2 hours the o2 app on the device, then after paying the device off got them to order code before I cancelled air time. This was overkill as eventually got the code three times yesterday evening. Oops
Pondlife
5 Aug 16 #348
Also with 1A and under if charging it while using it might still be draining quicker than it's charging. Even if it is charging if it's using 500mA to power the device use, you'd end up with less than 500mA to charge as opposed to roughly 1500mA from 2A charger under same circumstances so it could be 3 times as long to charge or more.

My unlock code arrived yesterday, yet again it was well after I cancelled the contract, so people should not worry and just cancel it straight after requesting unlock, otherwise you will end up paying more for the usage. As for the charging, mine charges in about 2 hours and 10 minutes. You have to use 2 Amp charger adaptor, otherwise you will charge it for ages.

5 Aug 16 #345
Yeah my code came several hours after I called to pay off the device part and cancel the airtime and the sim got disconnected sometime this morning.

Been using some multi port adaptors to charge mine, Ampere tells me it's not drawing the full amperage it could do but it is always well over 1A. Was that charge time while you were actively using it or while it was resting as mine seems nearer 3 hours I'll need to run it down a bit to test.

Yes - most banking apps don't like root, not sure about now tv as don't use it. With marshmallow though, I'm pretty sure you can get systemless root, and I think this is the one I currently have (some apps can't see root - ES file explorer PAID version for example, while free versions sees it no problem).
For banking apps I always go through mobile browser - doesn't make any difference apart from slower (full) logon.
I think I'm more addicted to rooting - just get more control of your device. That's it really

ODIN - yes - it's MD5 file and when you load it in ODIN it takes few moments to load as its checking firmwares integrity.

It will obviously what amp the wall charger you use with it, 1amp or under will take probably double the time, a normal 2 amp charger will i guess take 3-4 hours, so a 1 amp charger will take 6-8 hours.
Just get a faster wall charger, and that should speed it up.

I had the same, with the O2 SIM inserted, try making a call to 202, it won't work, but you'll get some texts from o2 to update you tablet settings, so do this.
Then after a few mins, it should appear in your devices with the option to request an unlock code for it.

What actually happened to you when you bought a couple of a few mobile phones close together?
paulandpam1
4 Aug 16 #301
Experion Quote :
Multiple applications within a short period of time

Plan your credit applications carefully and try to spread them out where you can. Each time you apply for credit, the lender is likely to check your credit report and leave a credit application search, otherwise known as a footprint. Although being refused credit isn’t registered on these footprints, simply making several credit applications close together can worry lenders as this can be a sign of financial difficulties or even fraud. So target your applications carefully and always investigate any credit refusal before applying elsewhere.

Other types of search footprint, such as those left by identity checks or quotations, are not used by lenders to help calculate your credit score.

4 Aug 16 #299
One's credit score is a demonstration of one's ability to pay and financial stability, rather than the number of credit agreements. For mobile phones, the phone companies don't like to "offer" you too many "savvy" smart good deals or they met their sales quota for that quarter. It is not the credit scoring. My experience tells me that they stop at around 3 or 4 contracts and blame on credit scoring , part of their sales script at a famous large mobile network, just blame on credit scoring.

No my credit score is perfect.
I mentioned it because credit scoring agencies don't like too many credit checks being done for an individual because they see it as a possible sign that the person is struggling financially or potential fraud.
If the said person applies for another phone deal he may well be turned down because of this.
As for my credit score I keep a check on it by using the free service from Experion for Barclaycard users.

Just received mine about 35 minutes ago, whilst I cannot fault delivery speed or service of o2 at all, I was surprised to find out that tablet was just loosely put into a cardboard box without any protections. This is not what I have experienced with two of my previous refresh orders, they always used to come with bubble wrap and support to protect tablet from having a party inside the box. Considering this, the tablet was able to move and bump anywhere and everywhere without any support meaning that even the usb charger could of had potential to damage it whilst it was on its way. Having inspected it I cannot see any signs of damage as of yet, hopefully there is none. The back of the tablet however, has double seal with the original manufacturer's tape, even the camera is sealed as well, so I assume this was just a customer return and not a warranty replacement.

I can sort of fault the delivery of mine as it came before it was supposed to.

Yeah the packaging is pretty shoddy for such a device. Do you mean charger cable or did you actually get a charger? Yeah still got the plastic thing on back here to, sadly not on front. Camera one looks awkward to pull.

I've not put the sim in yet but it says I've a mobile signal, so that's confused me. On that point a sim tray release pin would've been handy.

The title is the main thing, it is for Samsung Tab S2, they are using stock photos for the same designs are used for a multiplcity of tablets and phones. I saw many of these entries on eBAY where sellers have one listing selling a dozen tablets under different designs (one uses a drop down box to select tablet, another drop down box to select design).
If you look at the Amazon link that I posted, the designs have holes all over the places.

Official Samsung cases are at Amazon at varying prices I went for £13+ for white and £17+ for red (looks more like burgundy or similar). Black and others more expensive. I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't find a really rugged case that protects the screen with a flip-style arrangement.

I'm also getting a couple of "Coolreall" tempered glass screen protectors delivered from Amazon (£5.89) and will post my impressions on it later today

You picked the wrong tariff bud, £144 is for 10GB Tariff with no upfront cost which is £6*24 = £144, and the one that was advertised originally is 10GB tariff with 29.99 upfront and £4*24 which works out at £125.99. As for the £270 it is the price you would pay if you would like to buy a device only.

iEimis
3 Aug 16 #191
Yes, this is correct, the marshmallow build itself is available either on the site you provided or on sam mobile, however you have to flash it as there is no official update for LTE version of this tablet yet meaning you are voiding warranty as far as I am aware.
iEimis
3 Aug 16 #190
No I only had one update so far which was more of a bug fixes and a security patch. There is no official version of Marshmallow update for this type of tablet. Wi-Fi version already runs Marshmallow since May, which is strange considering LTE is a more expensive device.

Exactly same as you, didn't get a charger, only a cable, and yeah I was surprised by the packaging having experienced refresh deals before. And my phone actually came with a sim tray release pin so at least I have one, but those who don't will struggle a bit.

More concerned with unlocking the device before cancelling. By cancelling you won't receive a unlock code as the number is no longer active. This mistake was made by a mate of mine before. Request unlock then cancelled no unlock code as the number gets deactivated as soon as you cancel

If you read my post correctly you can see that I have ordered refresh deals previously, and that I am not complaining about this having no BOX. I am complaining about that the tablet was not protected at all, at least with the bubble wrap or any sort of wrap that would protect it from external damage whilst it is being handled by the carrier. In my experience, two refurb phones i got from O2 came sealed with the clear plastic wrap attached to the same cardboard box with the support preventing it from moving inside.
liamo
3 Aug 16 #173
Anyone who as received their's, have you tried putting in an non o2 SIM Card, is it SIM locked to o2, i pressume so.

If so, how do you get it unlocked, as when i go into my o2 account, i can see my new account setup, i click on my mobile number under "Mobile Broadband", and when i go into "Device Details" - find out more, my device is not listed in there, so i can't request it to be unlocked?
It just say device details are not available.
iEimis to liamo
3 Aug 16 2 #175
You have to put in the same card that you have received with your tablet in, use it for 15-30 minutes and your IMEI number along with the mobile number will appear there and you will be able to request an unlock.
For the ones that are interested, this is the T715 model with Exynos 5433 cpu and Mali-T760 MP6 gpu compared to T719N model which has Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 cpu and Adreno 510 gpu and runs Marhsmallow straight out of the box. Which is a bit of a shame really, because in my personal experience qualcomm processors run faster than exynos.

It's not just how they do refurb items they don't supply them with new ones either, so they are still "like new" in that respect.

3 Aug 16 #165
It's how o2 ship all the refurbished items, in a plain brown box, with no charger.
They say it's better for the environment:( , and also everyone should have Micro USB chargers in their home.
I think it's cheaper on their wallets, and probably cheaper to ship.
Annoying, as this would need a fast wall charger to charge within a reasonable time, and a lost of the ones people have at home are phone ones, that are not as powerful.
e.g. a 1amp charger will take twice as long to charge something as a 2amp charger, as most people will probably only have 1 amp chargers

Really good deal but not sure if it's much of an upgrade over MiPad v1. I think this has a nicer screen and it'll definitely be better build quality along with 3GB of RAM. Not to mention that it also has a 4G sim slot too so that'll prove handy. Performance wise I imagine it won't be much better but that's fine with me. It is for the device under "Device Plan": Fixed Sum Loan Agreement under the Consumer Credit Act; so it is 24 months X £4 = £96 which is tiny in credit scoring terms. As for the airtime agreement, then it is how much risk that you run up airtime usage. However after one cancels these two agreements then no more effect on credit score after a short while for the agreements status to be updated.

Shame they're not selling these on payg.
Dave_c to captainbeaky
2 Aug 16 #84
Not feeling this way of doing things?
iEimis to captainbeaky
2 Aug 16 #86
They have never sold anything on payg at the same price as they did on refresh deals, it's just not worth it for the company as with these contracts some people might want to stay considering you can pay off the device plan and cancel airtime at any time with 30 day's notice when you are out of 14 day cooling off period. They did sell new iPhone 5s on pay n' go. But I think that was still £30-£40 more than buying it on refresh.
Going back onto the main idea I think it is still worth the faff for what you get.
Pondlife to captainbeaky
2 Aug 16 1 #87
Always dearer on that anyway. e.g. The P9 was £192 on refresh or £212 on pay&go
iEimis
2 Aug 16 #82
Yes, I've seen two lines in my credit score, one for credit agreement and another one for something like a loan. However when I pressed on to view this it says Ceased/Paid in Full, so I don't know why it hits the credit score considering you have repaid in pretty much 0 months when the loan was supposed to be 24 months. No idea how these credit score companies work anyway, but I was accepted for this again without any deposits (like some people had) so I assume that the lower score didn't had much of influence really, it's just a thought for people that cannot be approved for phone contracts or things like that.

Reading through some of the forums discussing O2 contracts, it appears this 'split-type' contract results in the buyer taking out a LOAN on the device, in addition to the contract on the airtime - hence two separate credit lines! Probably explains the hit on your credit score.

Ah so you don't even need to wait for the unlock code to arrive? How do they send the code if you've cancelled the sim though?
MrSteveHam to Pondlife
2 Aug 16 1 #74
I got mine by email.
iEimis to Pondlife
2 Aug 16 1 #75
The unlock code just comes through the email that you provided when you applied for a contract. They do send it because in my understanding, if you request the unlock before you cancel it, there's no way they can say no you are not getting your unlock code, because it is absolutely a different department that is dealing with your unlock request. I have done it twice and unlock code had always came through.

iEimis to bigjon29
2 Aug 16 1 #69
No, you don't have to be.
bigjon29
2 Aug 16 #61
So let me make sure im right and not being thick

You order the deal as mentioned and once everything is accepted you then either ring o2 or go in store and pay off the cost of the hardware for the 24 month period which £4 x 24 months =£96+plus the intial £29.99= £124.99
Then cos you have paid off the hardware in full you can then cancel the airtime contract and thats it your are not in a contract anymore and you own the device?
Sorry but just want to make sure
thanks in advance
Dave_c to bigjon29
2 Aug 16 #62
I would also like to know this, also has anyone ever had an issue cancelling?
iEimis to bigjon29
2 Aug 16 13 #68

And that's how you get a bargain for your money.
djc0367
2 Aug 16 1 #67
As Iunderstand it (and I'm happy to be corrected)

1. Order the tablet
2. Once it's been delivered, pay off the device over the phone 24*£4=£96, then wait a day.
3. Following day, cancel airtime over phone or instore.

If it all goes horribly wrong, return within 14 days of purchase.

I've never done a refresh deal/cancel the airtime before, but I've read several gazillion threads about it on here over the years.

I've just ordered two of these for kids (one for me and one ordered in my wife's name) and if it all really does go t*** up (which I'm certain it won't if you follow the clear instructions on here), you can return it for a refund within 14 days of purchase anyway.

P.S. Can anyone recommend a good, tough/armoured case for a butterfingered child, please?

It is a fantastic deal indeed, I am about to order one myself, I wanna make people aware that even though I was accepted myself on iPhone 5s deal a couple of months ago, this has dropped my credit score by 40 points (I didn't apply for anything else after that iPhone 5s deal, so it must be it) and I have never missed any payments or anything. Just something to be concerned about.
hcc27
2 Aug 16 #46
Thanks, good spot.
This is a fantastic deal, but I was rejected by O2's credit checking system for a contract. Incredible as my credit score as of today is 992/999 on Experian and I've never missed any payment in my life. Was approved for a mortgage around 6 months ago and a car lease 2 months ago which took about 5 min. These jokers asked for both my PP and DL details, which I provided, but still rejected me.
Just a word of warning that this has been widely reported. Seems O2 use Equifax which have their own special ways of assessing customers, the other mobile providers mostly use Experian and many punters have said they've been accepted by other networks after being rejected by O2.

Does anyone know if this is the Exynos or Snapdragon version - from the PCAdvisor review:

''Update 13 April 2016: Those holding off buying the Galaxy Tab S2 as they wait for a Tab S3 will be interested to note a refreshed version of the Tab S2 has been spotted running the Snapdragon 652 processor for slightly improved performance and Android 6 Marshmallow out of the box. Check the spec before you buy to see which version you are getting, but with performance already very good and Marshmallow available as an update for the original Tab S2 it shouldn't be a dealbreaker.''

I would say it's exynos because in the spec it says android 5.0.2, otherwise it would be marshmallow.

(b) If you've paid off your O2 Refresh Device Plan(s) (after 24 months or earlier if you choose to pay off early before the end of the 24 month term), you can either:

Decide to continue with your original Airtime Plan. In these circumstances, the combined Pay Monthly tariff will automatically reduce to reflect just the Airtime Plan tariff, until it is terminated on 30 days' notice in accordance with our Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement; or
Take a new O2 Refresh deal. If you're paying off a Device Plan early we waive the remaining months of your linked Airtime Plan that you haven't used, allowing you to upgrade; or
Terminate your Airtime Plan and Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement. We'll waive the remaining months of your linked Airtime Plan that you haven't used (as required by the Consumer Credit Act 1974), entitling you to terminate so that in these circumstances, your Airtime Plan will be treated as not having any remaining Minimum Period for the purposes of paragraph 8.3 of the Pay Monthly Mobile Agreement.

This is a good deal, for a great device. I have had my Tab S2 8" 4G from new in Feb, used daily both home and away from home on 4G, faultless device. Screen quality is amazing, under strain (gaming) never really heats up, sd card slot for extra storage, but the 32gb on board is a good starting point anyway, the finger print scanner is far better than previous efforts on the first Tab S devices, the camera is what it is, in good light produces OK shots, but I wouldn't be seen taking photos with a tablet in public anyway, so that is a feature I wouldn't use, but some may do! The sound quality from the on board speakers is ok, considering the svelte nature of the device. I use Bose in ear headphones, when watching/listening to media and there is little to be disappointed with, if anything the extra weight to the bass is levelled purely at the Bose in-ears, but I prefer it that way. All in all, highly recommended.
