A couple of decent external HDDs via the Groupon App, using the code APPLOVE (new customer sign ups £15 off a £25 spend).
Spotted these after seeing the deal posted for the Samsung printer by Chanchi32.

All I will say is watch your back with Groupon and read the small print.

Recieved mine, yes it was not packed well, they must put bubble wrap or something to stop it ratting around.but it worked great with my Xbox one and no issues. Also I pay by PayPal so if there is an issue I would get my money back, and it also arrived very quickly. Good buy.

can both of these be used with an Xbox?
Also does anyone have an idea as to the performance of these in such use.?

I left it for 24 hours copying an existing 2TB hard drive and it is still only half way done - I'm going to return mine - no good having 3TB if you can't use it.

Recieved mine yesterday, it's still very good value for the money also simple plug and play, no need to plug in mains, Can't complain at this price

I've just received my Maxtor 3TB portable drive today - only 16-22MB/s write speed which is very disappointing - read speed is better at 130MB/s. Not sure if I want to keep it with that performance....

This is a great deal and the odd comment about keeping a carefully eye on this company does not really matter because if you pay by PayPal which you can, if they don't deliver or have problems you get your money back, it's a no brainier. Brilliant price with the £15 of. Just ordered as I have been after one for months.i bought the Maxtor as its got no power lead and runs from the devices power.

Seems like a good deal for this, considering the drive inside is a Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200 RPM.
The drive alone is more expensive than this deal.
Though you won't be able to pull out the HDD without breaking the enclosure.

Not true of all laptops. It's a laptop spec size and some laptops will take the width (oo-er)

yes you should be able to as long as you do not kind voiding your warranty, have a look at the YouTube link derp1664 shared earlier.
i would advise to do full diagnostic tests by western digital utility before opening the case

I don't mean a laptop. I'm looking for a 3.5" drive but thanks.

And yeah I bought one and had to return it as it failed multiple diagnostic tests.
Groupon or whoever packed it was having a laugh as it arrived rattling around in an empty box; no bubble wrap or anything!
At least groupon paid for return shipping (..although I still had to chase them for the refund)

Can the drives be taken out of these and used in a PC?

seagate maxtor 3tb cant fit in the laptop if taken out. drive is too thick.
also maxtor was previously posted here as a deal but many buyer said they had to return it because of bad sectors apperently maxtor seller doesnt use the bubble wrap before posting which damages the drive during transit. not sure about Samsung drive seller though.
hot either way
