Might be a bit of a niche item, but hopefully it will be useful to some folks out there.
I have been looking for a HOTAS controller to play Elite Dangerous / Flight Simulator X / Rise of Flight for some time. I was considering getting a CH Products Throttle to use alongside my existing joystick but spotted this at PC World for £99.99, less £10 (using code GAMING10), plus a possible Quidco of 10%. Free delivery or you can collect in store.
At this price, it gives me the flexibility to use the X52 stick or continue with my existing stick.
The cheapest this has ever been according to CamelCamelCamel is £81.55, and the average price for this is in the £90 to £100 price range.

I use the throttle section, but never liked the stick itself. Can't be an old Microsoft Sidewinder FFB2. Brilliant stick.

I used to love my ms ffb joystick back when I played freespace 2 but to the drivers even work on modern windows?

I've no issues with anything yet, CLoD is fine. CAP2 seems fine, but I've had some crashes that I think are GPU related, so confident the MS FFB is fine.

There was one on shelf in Crayford; but that was on Monday. I didn't check the price

Shouldn't really be a problem but people should be aware that this hardware is pretty long in the tooth. It was originally released back in 2004.
I have the replacement to this, the X-52 Pro, and I bought that back in 2010.

Saitek flight sticks are notorious for being quite low quality despite their price, expect them to break relatively fast

X52 is a very old HOTAS and frankly even at this price point isn't worth it. The throttle is nice but the stick is awful, save up a little and get the X55 or combo a T16000M with a CH Pro throttle. I say this as someone who owned an X52 for 7 years - it's old tech, released over TEN years ago and only bought by those who don't understand how poor the tech inside the stick is, or by those who have never tried cheaper sticks like the T16000M which at £30 blows the X52s socks off. Heck even get a Hotas-X over this.. do yourself a favour and avoid.

My god this thing is old. I remember wanting to buy one when I was a teenager! Was the shiz back then!
I do not quite understand how this is still available new!

I paid £99 in 2004 so this is not much of a saving for something that dated!

I remember buying this years ago when on holiday in the USA for something like $80. Can't believe it's still holding at this price.
