Thanks, I need it! The lasts ones I did had too much bicarbonate of soda in them so they tasted a bit zingy! Gotta stay strict with recipe directions for sure.

Lidl's is the only chocolate i'll specifically buy to use in baking (occasionally use asda/tesco if I run out), made some dark chocolate and orange cookies the other day, they turned out fantastic. Good luck with your muffins :smile:

I don't usually eat the cheap chocolate but it's by far the cheapest and beat for using in cakes. Works out far cheaper than chocolate chips, just means you have to cut it up more. Even better if it's cheaper!

I've not tried the cheap Sainsbury's Dark Chocolate yet. However of all the supermarkets, Lidl's is the best.

Pay the extra 8p and buy Aldi's essential dark. Tastes a thousand times better than this plastic tasting stuff.

I believe Aldi's has dairy in it, perhaps that is why. Lidl on the other hand owns both of them.
