That petrol station always seem cheaper than elsewhere, but now the Costco petrol station has opened there is much cheaper than anywhere else. Plus Costco is supposed to be better fuel.

Its the same fuel. There will be a storage site in the region and everyone will get the same fuel. Costco does not magic the fuel from neverland

As a costco member I drive past that Sainsbury and fill up at Costco when I go. Time I don't go to Costco sains cheaper. Always tend to get tank to 50 miles left then go Costco.not happy

27 Aug 16#25
Nah,fill up at Thurrock services.
Whats the price there now?
£1.30? Robbin' swines.
People will though, rather than drive a mile or two down the road.
The base fuel is the same, but Esso, BP, Shell, Texaco etc have their own additives injected into the fuel as it is loaded at the terminals. Costco use their own additives and apparently have a system that adds it to their tanks on site. Supermarket fuel is just the basic stuff

Does it make your car go brrmm brrmm? That's all I need.
Does anyone have the inside line as to why Sainsbury's fuel varies so much in price? Is it geographical or is there a more logical reason.

I can beat that deal quite considerably. 10 pence per litre in Saudi. Just doing the math on whether its cost effective to drive there from Croydon and fill up.

Sigh.
Can't be 4rsed to argue with fuel related versions of Hyacinth Bucket.
All I will say is "My diesel Sierra that did over a THIRD OF A MILLION MILES on ASDA fuel, without even needing ANY work done to the engine.....was obviously faulty.
As must my current Mondeo be, on 234,000 miles and still "untouched".
Hint. "Change the sensor". :smirk:
And please, please, please....don't reply.
It will only embarrass you.

Does anyone know why this store was 102.9p for so long? The next cheapest petrol station nearby was 107.9p, so there was clearly no competition to compete with.
