I assume that you, at least, know what you're talking about because I haven't got the faintest idea.

My local supermarket only seem to sell Russian vodka. There were labels there for other brands but this stuff had completely taken over their shelf space.

don't like it as it is too sweet - doesn't compare at all with quality Polish vodkas;
heat for the price though

Can someone compare it to Grey Goose and get it over with .. The anticipation is killing me.

Definitely prefer it over Grey Goose. Having said that, I personally find Grey Goose too bland. During my student years in Germany I made blind-tasting knock-out rounds in search of finding my favourite vodka. I would ask my girlfriend to pour me three glasses with one being different from the other two. If I could
- spot the odd one out
and
- rate one as better as the other
then the winner would stay in my collection and the other bottle would be replaced by the next contestant once it was emptied. My personal favourite was indeed Russian Standard (the regular one). But I agree with user777, if you prefer polish-style vodka then this will be too sweet.

Hot. As a base for mixing with soft drinks etc RS is much better than Smirnoff/Red Label Vodkas. Quite often cheaper as well.

This is a wonderful deal - Chase parked cars for a tenner.

Sorry to be miser but sainsburys do a litre for £15 quite often which would be £10.50 for the same quantity! Just saying!

Green mark is one of the best selling in Russia and distributed by Russian standard. What on earth you on about?
