If he does get left with them then I don't think taking a hit for 80p is going to cause much upset. Why does it bother you how many he buys and sells? It's a digital code so they're not going to run out of stock therefore he's not stopping others from getting a deal, in fact as more people buy greater quantities to sell on then the price there will only get lower meaning ebay buyers who don't know about or who can't get this deal will also get the game for a low price. Is there any reason for your hatred other than jealousy?

Has to be manned till because it needs to print the code from till. I would've thought it would be continous stock as it is code generated

Just a heads up that both stores in Livingston, the store at Waverley Bridge in Edinburgh and the store in Bathgate have all caught on and won't honour it anymore as it was supposed to be part of a bundle deal when you bought a console. Although that may have changed since I was last at those stores about a month ago :smiley:

Wish I had seen this deal yesterday because due to work today I wont be able to get to any Argos stores near me. Hot deal for anybody who can get it though, found it very addictive when I played the free weekend a couple of months back and been keeping my eye out for any deals for it.

My brother tried to get this the last time but was told no way,he then returned and bought a ps4 game on offer and asked again and got it.Seems to be looks a lot less dodgy if you are not going in just asking for download code for 1p.

Update: manager at my local Argos rang it up then saw the price and refused to serve me. (Brian at Argos Partick) in his own words he said he believed it was a pricing error and said "I can refuse to serve you and that's what I'm going to do. If you have a problem with it, you can call up customer service" so looks like somebody didn't have his Weetabix this morning. I called up customer service and they said there was nothing they could do and he could refuse to serve me if he wants to. Online it's apparently showing as discontinued.

The guy had to put the code in each time..after 5 I said that'll do :smile:

Did not work at my local. Cat number worked but the thought it was for a bundle and it's a leaked code. They called manager and they could not do it for me. Did not argue as its my local and it gets you nowhere anyway. The guy there was more annoyed as well as he's a gamer and wanted it himself :laughing:

just tried now, when you try to pay for it the code comes out void and cancels. looks like they have pulled it.

My store manager sort of did a double take when he saw what I was buying and how much it was. He asked me where I got it from. I told him my "friend" and showed him the receipt. One call to head office later and he told me the transaction could not be carried out because the catalogue code was "leaked" and was actually supposed to be part of a bundle.
The deal is off, I'm afraid lads. :disappointed:

Much like the Disney Infinity blitz yesterday where they told me in my local Tesco one man bought 30+ items, I'd much rather it go to someone who gets direct use out of it than a scalper. Not good. The people in my local are nice people. They were just bound by the managers decision. To flatly refuse with an attitude by the sounds of that manager is not good.
