Sainsburys keep having these brilliant bluray deals!
They also had some other new additions:
Planes trains and automobiles £5
The Jerk £5
Uncle Buck £5
Once upon a time in the west £5
Chinatown £5
Big lebowski £6
But Rear Window stood out most for me!
They also had The Hateful Eight for £10.

Special edition, Hitchcock went back and added some special effects to make it more like his original vision...

Not sure how long these offers will be on for, they were clearing the entertainment section out of my local today to make way for Argos

Sorry got confused! You're right, The Birds wasn't the anniversary edition, standard case with different artwork. But Rear Window was.

Yeah The Birds is only available on its own in one version (with the slipcover) and seems to be OOP now. Was also available in a double-pack with Psycho at one point, and now you can only seem to get it in one of the Hitchcock box sets. So if you can get it, definitely buy a copy!
I have the old version of Rear Window but I might try and get this and sell my older copy (so this will match my copy of The Birds). However, I doubt my local has any of these offers - I went there recently and they only have chart Blu-rays and tonnes of cheap DVD's. Sucks!

There was another version of The Birds in Sainsburys, it was old artwork without the slip cover.
