Screw the PS4, why would anyone buy the Sun?

Me too, I've been so close to buying a few times this week! ...I have to reminding myself to wait it out - just in case the new one's quieter, or more efficient, or slightly faster etc? Even if the specs remain the same, there could also be some better deals on the current model once the new slims officially announced - especially if it has a lower RRP. :smiley:

You are literally the only person I have read online, that thinks the PS4 Slim looks more like the PS3 Super Slim as opposed to the PS3 Slim. Are you high?

You think the smaller console will not be loud? The original was loud because it had to shift allot of heat out of the box. by reduing the dye size it means the console will product less heat, but that will be offset by making the console even smaller si it has less room to shift that heat away, with a smaller fan and heatsink. If could end up louder than before. Hopefully not but Sony haven't made a quiet console in a while, the PS3 slim sounded like a jet engine as well.

I actually prefered the original PS3 Slim, not the tacky cheap looking second Slimmer model, which is what this is more akin to. Making it smaller doesn't mean it has to be ugly, the PS3 Slim v1, or theXbox 360 S or even the Xbox One S, all smaller consoles that looked better.

This is not my opinion only this is pretty much on every forum this leak was published. If you took of your rose tinted glasses and looked at the actual leaked pictures you'd see compared to the original, this is a downstep.

Hahaha ok dude. Sure...people would rathe buy the bulky machine that sounds like a jet engine when under pressure. The ps4 slim will appeal to mass audience who doesn't care what it looks like.

You are probably somebody who prefers the look of the "Phat" PS3 to the Slim model....

Why would anyone buy a ps4 right now, when the Slim is coming out in like 3 weeks and the price of these OG boxes will sink like a stone because retailers will want to clear inventory?

Tbh though you lot should just build your own PCs and get on Steam, it's much more cost effective and better...

All good point you make, I didn't know about the slim until today.. So I may wait until 7th Sept as Sony may announce the slim price when they confirm the Neo. Plus the PS4 Neo is out around the same time, right now is the WORST time to buy an original PS4. Although the PS4 Slim has no optical out so the audio will suck through HDMI...

But if I'm honest it's extremely hard to find a PS4 that's NOT £269 on HUKD...

I could be reasonably tempted with that, as it's effectively coming in at £234 with Uncharted 4.

Well the general opinion is the new console looks cheap and ugly and apparently does not have a Optical Audio out port. If anything I expect the sales of the old model to increase as those who are on the fence try to get the old better looking model before it's sold out.
