Unless you strike a piece with minimal radial play, you can't use the keyed chuck for normal drills. The wobble on the head is just too much. I returned the first drill I bought back to the shop. It had more than 1/2" wobble. In the second one ( the replacement of the tool was immediate ) I was lucky to strike a gem of a tool with less than 1/16" radial play. So if you are considering to buy one of these tools, think about how much axial and radial run-out you are happy with. You may have to go back to the shop for replacement of your drill more than a couple of times!

Bought one yesterday and used it with a tile chisel to remove all wall tiles in a bathroom in a couple of hours. Quite heavy but did a good job. Thanks for posting, I'd have missed it otherwise

Don't need one. Buying one. I know if I don't, I will need to break up some concrete the day after the last one is sold. After a little research, Toolstation sell very cheap bits for this (less than a quid each) but I'm guessing that they may melt. The DeWalt ones from Screwfix seem to get the best reviews. 5 times the cost, but hopefully they will last at least 5 times longer.

I bought one of these 3 years ago too and never opened it until last month when it came in handy for knocking down a brick wall and saved me loads of money getting someone in to do the job. Great drill but make sure you use ear defenders! :-)

It mentions chiselling so I'd assume yes, 3 mode.

I bought this about 3 months ago and it came with an sds attachment where you can use the normal drill bits with it.

They are quite expensive and difficult to find cheaper . Normal ones do not come with sds plus.

I've got one of these. It uses SDS-plus bits which you can get from the usual diy stores. Not difficult to find at all.

Don't forget to buy bits as well if you buy this as sds matching system are difficult to find . I bought it last year with tools for same price.

Are "SDS" bits not of the same size and standard that fit all makes and models regardless of the original manufacturer..?
