Selected by the fickle finger of fate, Abe, floor-waxer first class for Rupture Farms, was catapulted into a life of adventure when he overheard plans by his boss, Molluck the Glukkon™, to turn Abe and his fellow Mudokons into Tasty Treats as part of a last-ditch effort to rescue Molluck's failing meat-packing empire.

I've played original, now wanted to show it to my wife. quick save could be helpful during gaming ( less frustrating :stuck_out_tongue:)
thanks for reply

I would add as well that they made abe sound a lot more goofier than the original. Cheapened it a little for me

I played its originally years ago on ps1 and enjoyed it. Iv now completed new and tasty on the X box one and I thought it was sooooo much better. The game is essentially the same but I found the graphics much better and the game play much smoother than the original. Love this game!

It's inferior in pretty much every aspect, but certainly not terrible. The two objective improvements: quick save, and addressing multiple Mudokons, were lifted straight from the 1998 sequel Exoddus. I personally think the best way to play is to emulate the PS1 version so you can use save states to get around the poor save system.
If you're the kind of person who really hates 2D graphics to the point where you'll sacrifice tighter gameplay, a better aesthetic, and almost everything else, only then would it be worth playing over the original. That said, if you're really into the series, then it's still worth playing as a curiosity.
