In case of talking to the wrong CS person, this link is pretty conclusive:

The phone also can bend like an iphone.
When this occurs Samsung will refuse to do anything even though their website states it will not bend in normal use and requires "50kgf" to bend. A phone in a back pocket exerts around "30kgf". I assume they mean Newtons when they state "kgf".
Samsung's customers service is the worst I ever encountered.

My G4 lasts way better than most recent phones I've run. You obviously never had a Nexus 5.

So after I get the unlock code what do I do with it, also will that mean I can use any network?

Can someone recommend whether I should go for this Samsung Galaxy S6 for under £200 or go for the OnePlus 3 for £330 and Why? Thanks

Yes, unfortunately that is quite typical for Samsung. I am still using a Galaxy Note 2, but despite many upgrades (and now it is out of the support), it still suffers from the very same issues of excessive battery drain. It is really shocking, especially if you compare it to the competition: Sony has the battery drain well under control, and even Motorola and ZTE always give me at least two days of battery life.
Unless you play Pokemon Go, of course, that seems to drain pretty much any device within 2 hours.

Also been through the guid at scottyjim's post, when you say put a sim card, does it mean the O2 sim with the contract or any other sim?
If I do put in the O2 sim and dial 202 won't that be charged?
Also, thanks to everyone posting and helping newbies like me on their successful o2 refresh purchase
Might just go in for the second one for the missus

Excellent deal, thanks everyone
I've gone through quidco which seems to be £75 for contracts over £30, quite certain it will be declined

cancelled with o2 over the phone on one of these deals.
checked it had been done via live chat, nope, they cancelled it and confirmed in writing.
month later, start getting unpaid bill letters as I cancelled the direct debit myself, spoke to live chat, referenced prior chats, they closed it all off.
This was in Jan/Feb. Few weeks ago realised they'd been showing me as in default for the last few months on my credit record. I've been assured that's been corrected and will be removed within 28 days. We shall see.
The same thing happened the first time I did a refresh deal, except I only had to tell them twice to cancel that one. You'll need to keep checking it's been cancelled every half an hour for the next few months if you buy this.

Excellent answer (and football team). I couldn't have put it better myself.
OK, O2 break up the contract into 2 bits, handset and airtime.
the idea being you can update your handset whenever you want but are still with O2.
we are making use of this when they price the handset too cheaply.
you are allowed under distance selling rules to cancel the contract in 14 days, but we are choosing which bit to cancel and which bit to pay off, so you pay off the handset and tell them you want to cancel the airtime, and they adjust your first bill down (you will pay £37 initially).

Reading the comments there's conflicting opinions on whether the o2 guarantee still applies if you pay upfront. Anyone have a definitive answer?

they are wrong, simple-as.
mind you, I suppose it depends on the question you asked, if you asked can I take out a 24m contact then cancel it without paying it off then if course the answer is no, but if you asked can I cancel an O2 refresh contract and pay off the handset, then the answer is a 100% yes.

Ordered! Not looking forward to phoning O2 and the inevitable hassle that will ensue, but hopefully it'll be worth it...

I would imagine if you read the small print there would be conditions explicitly stating that you cannot cancel airtime during your 24 month contract without paying the phone off in full (I'm pretty surprised if there isn't tbh but it doesn't sound like it from what I've read on here), if this isn't stated then they can't tell you that over the phone. If they still insist just return the phone within 14 days.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but I don't see the deal :disappointed:
I only see 9.99 upfront and 29 monthly. How do I get to the deal that has
Perfect in Gold or White - £29.99 upfront + 24 x £7 = £197.99 total cost
sorry guys, need a new phone for the daughter and she would be thrilled to bits with this one. I hope this deal hasn't expired yet

Definitely major battery problems with this phone (which I am using and have been for about 12 months). Marshmallow update definitely helped but you'll be lucky to get to lunch time with more than about 65% if you use your phone frequently for WhatsApp and sms etc. Luckily I have wireless chargers dotted around at home and 1 at work so I can keep topped up.
