Battery life isnt great but as it's technically a desktop replacement that's no great shakes.
Back-lit keyboard...
Have some heat.

just a bad description by Costco
Wouldn't bother with one was too slow, screen was dull and lacking in brightness. Had it only two days and failed saying there was no os available. Sent it back for a refund had to wait over a week for it to be picked up still waiting for the refund and there customer service is shocking.

(sic) Just to give a balance view, I've never once had an issue with Costco customer service.

I hadn't until the point of wanting to return something. Waited over 15 mins to get through on two occasions. And on one occasion I was told I just need to put you on hold while I'll bring up your account (5 second job as I've worked in these type off call centres.) I was on hold for 5 minutes.

How would this handle strategy games like Warcraft, Total War, Age of empires? Also survivals like rust etc?
Thanks in advance.

I got this laptop, the hard drive was bottlenecking the cpu (in other words, the hard drive was too slow) so I had to replace it with a SSD. Its a good laptop with a SSD. I wouldnt honestly recommend this laptop with the hard drive it came with.
Its ok for gaming, but I would rather send the extra £ and get a better one.

Will handle total war and Warcraft fine. Rust on low (Which people do by choice anyway tbh).

Not the best wasn't quite sure what was happening after the first call so had to ring up again. Had to wait a week for it to be picked up wasn't given a time as to when it would be picked. So had to wait in all day, as the driver turned up at the last minute as they pick up from 8-5.30. I was bit surprised that I couldn't take it to a local warehouse as I live near two costco ware houses.

Online and instore are usually run as two separate parts of business for alot of companies. Always check returns policies upfront people, if in doubt ring them or tweet for clarification.

I too have this laptop, but I don't see any hard drive "door" on the underside. Do you have to remove the bottom of the laptop to get into the HDD bay?

I'd want an SSD... to be clear, it's 2016, everyone should want an SSD.

I had this laptop last year, don't be fooled by the "NVIDIA GeForce 940M 2GB!" in the title, it is a truly awful GPU and performs worse than my desktop Skylake on-chip GPU.
Hard drive is incredibly slow and the laptop in general doesn't perform the same as it looks on paper with the specs it has. I don't recommend spending £450 on this. If you're going to be buying a laptop, save a little bit more and get a £500-600+ one.
The aesthetics of the laptop is beautiful though, even as a non Star Wars fan.

Thanks for the heads up, mate.
I suspect that a few more GTX 900 series equipped laptops will head into the clearance sale now that the news on the specifications for the Pascal mobility lineup have been released.

Exactly the same issues that I had. The HDD was terrible.
