Was on offer at Amazon this week for 10% cheaper but that was a one day deal. Down from RRP of £69.99, was only released last month.
Suspect we'll see a few more of these on offer down the line, but this also has Freeview HD and the ability to pause/rewind TV, so a nice upgrade for an older telly and a much better bet than the older black NowTV boxes if you don't have such functionality on your TV already.
Comes with either a 5 month entertainment pass (544/9570) or 4 month movie pass (576/6985).

You can install plex on the new now tv smart box. I got one from Amazon and it's the same procedure as the old boxes.

How do these get Freeview HD?
Plugged into your aerial or is it live streamed?

Do the viewing codes work with existing accounts or would I have to set up a new one?
Thanks.

It's the older version, or Rarflix. Rarflix has wake on lan built in, but both are a lot older than the newer Plex clients. To my knowledge, it's because the newer builds are available via the Roku appstore, which isn't available on these NowTV branded boxes.
Ended up moving onto Kodi on a fire stick/box and using PlexKodiConnect which is a much better experience for accessing Plex content, but judging by the number of people flogging the NowTV boxes on eBay, there's clearly some market for IPTV via the older sideloaded versions of Plex.

£39.99 seems to be the price for this now, Amazon did the £36.99 deal, now Argos doing it for £39.99 and i seen it in Asda today for £39.99 too, don't think its ever been on sale for £70?

Sure it has - it's the RRP of £69.99 in my local Tesco.
Half an hour on google with some of those terms will tell you everything you need to know, and whether or not it's for you.

Not sure what you mean by review? It has live pause, and can rewind up to 30 minutes from when you change over to the channel.
It can't record, if that's what you're asking?

Our current discount 6 month deal with now tv ran out today, we went online to cancel at the increased price and we got offered another 6 months at £3.99 a month - worth trying if your current deal runs out

You are fortunate - been with them almost 2 years & never been offered such a good deal to stay.
I get movie passes for an average of £4-5/month on eBay, so not too different. But if NowTV offered it in my account, I wouldn't need to bother about getting them from elsewhere.

You can get 6 months entertainment AND 4 months movies, with 2 black boxes for £50 from the reps in curry's/pcworld, and sometimes a couple of skysports day passes thrown in too.

The movies on now tv are awful. I watch better on itv. Never pay £9.99 month for them.

You can't do so on the Now TV box.

I'm part of an IPTV streaming service and we have just under 11k users. There is definitely a demand for it. Even Live TV on Kodi use IPTV via xtremecodes

Its because they buy it direct debit & you buy passes from ebay etc.

I've side loaded an app called TVPlayer into my old now TV box which is basically free view but uses the Internet instead of an aerial connection. Although an aerial connection would be best for signal, wifi/Ethernet can also be used and I haven't had any problems so far. Quality will obviously depend on your internet speed and you can't rewind live TV but for £10 you can't really complain.

cool... 30 mins rewind is great

So this will work as simply a standalone Freeviw HD box once the subscription is up? Might get one then.

They say "up to 30 mins" - it depends on the quality of the signal, and resolution. So I'm guessing 15 mins for HD...

Asda link is £40 also saying "was £70"
takes about a year.
This can sideload the now defunct 2+ year old version of Plex.
:disappointed:. Now I'll never understand.
