I bought a months now tv entertainment for £2.49 off eBay a couple of days ago and then factor in the price of this now old box. The latest box with freeview HD with the same or a similar pass to this for £35 was posted a couple of days ago.
These have been as low as £20 (insert time machine gif)
Just my opinion.

Thank you for taking the time to share your £2.49 link with the rest of us... Keep up the good work.
I hope everybody who buys one, knows you cant use this box without putting your card details in first.

They were £15.99 in a lightning deal. I bought four....only used one.

So 6 times 2.69 is 16.14 meaning you are paying 10.74 for the box, I fail to see how its any different to buying the box and then buying 6 passes off ebay?? And from what I can see the only advantage of the new box is the freeview which requires an aerial so if you already have freeview HD built into your tv doesn't that make the new more expensive box pretty pointless??

I was looking at the new box to see if there was any advantage, other than it being 'newer', but there doesn't appear to be anything other than a freeview tuner, without the ability to record (hopefully someone will come along and prove me wrong), which is certainly not worth paying for, especially since 3 out of my 4 NowTV boxes don't live near an aerial, and the one that does is plugged into a CRT TV and has to be the white version for the AV out socket.
Although you can question the value of the Entertainment pass, this seems to be a deal to me, voting hot.

Although you can't record with the new 'tuner' NowTV box you can rewind 30mins and pause Live TV. If you added a HDMI to AV adaptor you could still use on your CRT and would get freeview on your CRT....

Now that the new "freeview enabled" box has been launched I would expect these boxes to fall further in price, just as the white ones did when these black boxes came out.
If you want the box, and you want it now, then this is probably a pretty reasonable deal. If you just want the passes then eBay is your friend.

Is this a straightforward process? I've got a couple of spare boxes from previous offers and thought I would give this a go.

It's probably worth trying to cancel first to see what offer they come back with. Currently on a £3.99 a month for 6 months deal for the Entertainment Pass.

This is about as good a deal as you'll get at the moment. So for that HOT.
May be worth investing in the new Freeview Box though.
Is there a way to get the ZIP for a recent build of Plex?
I was really happy with Plex on my proper Roku, but gutted on these Now TV boxes I can only find Plex Classic or RARFlix zips, where I can't find the shuffle episodes button. I assume it's not there.

It's the same process as loading plex, just a different file to flash
