"effective date" would be the date the contract (sale) came into force. However, "effective application date" is the date from which the software (on the transaction terminal) can be used by the store. Hope that helps.

I hate to be that guy, but what exactly are people voting hot here? The fact that one person managed to find PS TV for a good price? No one else has confirmed being able to find the same deal - other than cxv, who claims to have grabbed the "last few" from an unspecified "local".
Sorry, but as it stands, this might as well have been found at a car boot sale. Credit to the OP for sharing the information (don't get me wrong; I'm not criticising you), but why would anyone vote hot before confirming there was more than ONE UNIT at this price in the ENTIRE COUNTRY? (Sorry for SHOUTING).
This place is weird sometimes :stuck_out_tongue:

That isn't the way to get a bargain - there'll be a lot of happy PSTV owning Asda employees in Essex tonight.

So what we can conclude is you have a rubbish wireless router, really thick walls in your house or both. Nothing wrong with this at all, especially for £11.

I like how you deftly deconstructed every point I made there. What exactly do you disagree with?
The heat on this deal is utterly confounding. It's the hottest gaming deal of the day, and the third hottest of the week, yet it's available - as far as we know at this point - to no one.
Here's an analogy: I buy PS TV at a car boot sale, unused, for £5. I post it on here and get 1,000 heat, but to what end? It's not like anyone else can buy it. It's utterly redundant.
I'll gladly eat humble pie if this is available elsewhere, but I'd bet good money I'll visit my local Asda tomorrow and leave disappointed - as many others will.
HUKD is, in several ways, fundamentally flawed, local Asda deals being a good example.

You have no idea what you are talking about....What has your broadband connection got to do wth it? it transfers data across your local LAN not the internet....
You could have dialup internet and it would make no difference.

I used to use Play TV on PS3 aswell and I would hope it comes to PS4. I did expect Playstation TV to feature what Play TV did which is dissapointing. Japan call it Vita TV which is a much more fitting name.

Still waiting for play tv, use it with ps3 to watch, record, pause live tv channels but a version compatible with ps4 in Europe is yet to be released. It's the only reason i now use my ps3!

May even get a further discount for damaged goods lol Box is at least 8 times bigger than the unit so is well protected. You also get a 28 day money back guarantee.

I have top of the range fibre with Talk Talk & it is rubbish due to their router being absolute garbage. Cannot wait to get out of the contract. My MIL also has the same problem with her BT fibre for a different reason as her village lines cannot keep up with the demand.
It is not like Playstation TV has only a single purpose either.

Each department in store has to keep to a tight budget for reductions each week. Deleted items no longer stocked can be sold off at half price (if the store still has stock) - but if they have alot of deleted stock to reduce it has to be spread out over a few weeks or reduced just 20% or so.

Toria8
19 Aug 161#12
Well as Ezzer pointed out, you make them aware of the price and they can stash it for themselves. But when I price checked elsewhere, they were also on sale so the chances are even it it wasn't £11 it would be reduced from the original price. We all know once the Vita gets hacked these things will sell quickly for more money.

How do you make a profit if you don't ask the price? You must be really lucky.
Toria8
19 Aug 162#9
Not really, we didn't ask for price checks just stock. It's true that they are no longer stocking this item.
So the smaller stores will have some available, but in this area they are big stores. I know what im doing I've made nice profits from my buying and selling.

PSTV was only released in November 2014. Unless this was bought in one of those elusive Asda time machines, I reckon it's safe to say the date at the bottom of the receipt is accurate

No, we rang round the stores to check stocks. Im not trolling the deal I know it's legit. Was just asking because somebody on the hotdeal page said it was fake but was corrected by hotdeals.
