Chased them after 5 days as no "dispatched" email yet.

Informed that item was being "prepared for dispatch".

I asked them whether they have it in stock and the response came back "no....if it comes back in stock we will dispatch".

Cancelled order today.

I've had this 3TB for 3 years also, always on and connected to my router I stream movies to my TVs over dlna I stream music to my phone anywhere in the world using the my cloud app you can even give people private links to download items from the drive all securely I would'nt be without mine

Hi, did anyone get despatched email? I ordered on 15th August but on their website still showing status 'Boxed Shipment'. Not sure what does that mean :disappointed:

My tv is a smart tv that has USB connections.
I can use a thumb drive into the USB connection and view images; & was wondering if I got something like this I could USB it into my TV (similar to thumb drive) and instead of manually moving it I can use the wifi function to transfer images onto this drive and view them (saving me manually moving between computer and tv and just transfer over)

If I was to get this and connect it to the to. Would I be able to send photographs and things from my PC to it?
This allowing me to look at them on the tv?

Yesterday I bought 2 x My Cloud 3TB (Recertified) for £119 total
What I will do open box take HDD and have RED HDD for
1119 / 6 TB = 19.83 Per TB "New price 1 TB around £33" but I have only 6 months warranty so it is risk of failure - but have before 2 TB RED HDD 24 Hrs on for 3 Years still going strong so ?

Anyway I have 2 x seagate 1 TB HDD spares and with ubuntu and HDD firmware image you can make 1 TB sagate HDD to WD my cloud . What I mean that you can download WD cloud image files say for 1TB than write this image to any HDD and make it work "you do not need to trow these open boxes they can be used as well "

Great deal! I have the 4TB Recertified and it's excellent. No problems.

Mine has been 100% stable running 24/7 for months. Only needed to reboot due to firmware updates. It gets warm when the weather does with the lack of fan, nothing to worry about though.
The main problem with the cloud drives is even though the sleep mode is active, they seem to spin up quite often due to the OS writing data.
Bit of noise if it's in the bedroom.

I've had mine for 3 years always on and it doesn't get too hot, still working fine.

I think I have asked this before but once you have uploaded stuff to this thing can you re download back off the my cloud to a tablet/phone ?

I want to be able to store stuff on this cloud device whilst on holiday and then when home take the stuff back off again to edit.

Take an image of the drive just in case you need to return it.

What drives are inside the desktop ones? Would be tempted to grab a couple to strip them out, even if it means losing warranty.
