it's a superb rum this for the usual rrp, at 17 its an absolute steal....imo its a cut above angostura 1919 but I rate 1919 highly as probably the best 'cheap' rum you can buy
Kraken is surprisingly drinkable too given it's high street sale and price point, but nowhere near mount gay or angostura
if you find el dorado 15 on offer BUY BUY BUY, 1st rate

Agree with above, Plantation is lovely.
I just brought back some Ron Barcelo Gran Anejo and some Pampero Aniverserio Reserva from Spain, both outstanding rums if you like the aged sweeter rums like I do. Less than 20€ a bottle as well!! :smile: (Pampero is £50 in Selfridges!!)

Pyrat is a fantastic rum, you can get it on Amazon for £40 - I would recommend it even if it's just for a treat

With that logic, you may as well get yourself some Ron Zacapa for £50, you're not going to get anything better in that price bracket (I've had Pyrat also). Ron Millionario 15 is a close second to the Zacapa and a little cheaper.

They are all good but at Sainsbury's in Hawick on Saturday ,Red Leg Spiced was £10, Wray and Nephew overproof was £13 and Bacardi OakHeart was £8.50 .... two weeks ago Angostura 1919 was £13 .. i think that is worth checking out all Sainsbury's stores , in fact I am off to Cameron Toll right now !
