Seems like they've got rid of being able to put the ukcrm16 and ukhot16 codes together, so ****no code stacking*** but the ukwelcome10 still seems to be working with them for me.
Some of the ukhot16 ones aren't working - I can't get it to work for the G3, but it does with the 360.
So just try out each and see what gives the best discount.

The codes for other phones are different.
You add a number on the end for different ones:
Style = 1
Play = 2
Force = 3
360 sport = 4
G3 = 5
Add that number to the end of UKCRM16 or UKHOT16, and then add UKWELCOME10.
So for the G3, the extra number you want is 5, add that on and you get the codes UKCRM165 or UKHOT165 and the same old UKWELCOME10 to add to your cart

Currently the G3 can still be had for £79.01 for the 8GB version or £109.01 for the 16GB by using ukcrm165 and ukwelcome 10 which is a pretty decent price.

I've never understood the need for NFC for payments. If you really wanted that couldn't you just keep a contactless card in your phone case (tucked behind it) and it would do the same job?

I don't know if anyone is interested, but if you want a decent Quick Charger then I just got this one RAVPower QC 3.0 30W Dual-Port and it works fine, shows as Turbo Power when charging, from 2% battery I got the following charge times, 70% in 1 hr, 95% in 1hr 30m, 100% in 1hr 50m.

I was thinking of selling watch and keeping phone, sold phone as it was getting much higher price on ebay than the watch. so happy with the decision of keeping watch. battery is horrendous, I've switched off all notifications so hopefully battery life will improve.

I am on Vodaone and in a good 4G area - coming from an LG G3 which always has the 4g symbol showing - but a days use of the new Moto and its not appeared once - do you have to enable it anywhere ?

If you don't want to add much bulk then the Motorola case is probably best as I believe it replaces the back cover, cheapest I've seen them for is just under £19, Motorola charge £29.

Third party cases are a lot cheaper though.

it happened with me and I was told by a local depot that it mostly it is not possible to change the first delivery attempt.

Get a decent tempered glass screen protector if you feel you need one, good ones are very easy to apply.

to those who ordered the moto x what are your plans for cases / screen protectors? With my gen1 moto g i just had it in a cheap hybrid silicon / hard plastic case with no screen protector and that worked find and stood up to some abuse and I have actually ordered the kwmobile hybrid case as that looks very similar to what i had on the moto g but from what i am hearing these larger screen phones are far more delicate than their smaller predecessors so looking to see what others are thinking looks the best solution.

I've just returned a Moto 360 Sport which I paid £129 for. Used Live Chat and got a shipping label 2 days later. CS must be hit and miss.

That said, it wasn't a repair!

I hope none of you guys have to use the aftersales support. My Moto X Play broke after 2 months (SD card reader stopped working) and it took me almost a month to get my phone back after sending it! It took me 6 phone calls and 4 e-mails before someone got back to me because they supposedly lost it and needed investigation!

Never buying from Motorola again.

I had the initial email from [email protected] stating I'd authorised a payment when I originally ordered but no amount showed in my PayPal transactions. I had an iOS PayPal notification this evening stating a payment had been made, it showed in the transaction list, then the order confirmation email came from Motorola.

If you don't care about 2nd hand you can pick up the x style for around £190 on ebay and argos have some refurb x play's on their ebay store sometimes.

Mine did the same last week. Got to wait about 3 weeks for it to be repaired. Lasted me 1 year and 2 months before it happened. :disappointed:

Btw they have fixed code stacking now, if you try to apply more than one it only keeps the first discount. at least on the moto x style

mine's did the same a few weeks ago. if your serial number starts 505 or 506 then you're at risk. you should send them off for repair under warranty. 10 days they'll be better than new. Mine feels much snappier now than it ever did. besides, it's not a reason not to buy a new one. given that it's a known fault, it's highly unlikely that they carried on making faulty ones now is it?

I woke up early for work at 4am and saw this, went for the Moto X Play 16GB. Now at 2:22pm I've still had no confirmation email at all yet I can see the preliminary charge against my Credit Card.

I like Motorola, but the lack of an Android upgrade policy disturbs me. The Moto X 1 was without upgrades in no time at all.

Be aware that this phone has a known issue with recognising SD cards, so if you're planning to buy one and boost the memory, you could be letting yourself in for problems.

I have to restart my phone every day because it stops recognising the memory card and Motorola customer service has been terrible to deal with over it.

Shame, because there's lots to like about it.

Yeah I got an email confirm of the order a little while after I paid.

The 360 code isn't working for me now. Guess someone at motorola caught up with it.

I'm hoping they're trying to clear out all of the slightly older range or something, so keeping my fingers crossed!

although lots of VR apps (e.g. google cardboard) uses gyroscope to track your head movement. without it you can't enjoy the full experience of VR cinemas.

To be honest, there doesn't seem a huge amount of difference apart from the bigger better screen and better processor. For me, the Play won because I don't particularly like huge phones and the Play is about my limit, and the battery should last ages. But there are others here who know way more, and will be able to offer better advice, most likely!

Seems like they've got rid of being able to put the ukcrm16 and ukhot16 codes together, so ****no code stacking*** but the ukwelcome10 still seems to be working with them for me.
Some of the ukhot16 ones aren't working - I can't get it to work for the G3, but it does with the 360.
So just try out each and see what gives the best discount.

The codes for other phones are different.
You add a number on the end for different ones:
Style = 1
Play = 2
Force = 3
360 sport = 4
G3 = 5
Add that number to the end of UKCRM16 or UKHOT16, and then add UKWELCOME10.
So for the G3, the extra number you want is 5, add that on and you get the codes UKCRM165 or UKHOT165 and the same old UKWELCOME10 to add to your cart

Currently the G3 can still be had for £79.01 for the 8GB version or £109.01 for the 16GB by using ukcrm165 and ukwelcome 10 which is a pretty decent price.

Interesting, never knew about the limits compared to contactless. I do agree they should be chucking some of the simpler sensors such as nfc on these budget/mid range phones. They do it to give people a reason to buy the high end ones and not much else.

You are not (in theory - depends on retailer) limited to the £30 "contactless" payment limit with Apple Pay or Android Pay
I have an iPhone and use Apple Pay a lot - it just seems shortsighted of manufacturers to omit a few sensors (which probably cost pence!) from their models.
I am STILL waiting for a budget phone to appear with a full range of sensors and a really good camera (almost invariably a weak spot at this price range)

I was aware of that. My LG G4 is absolutely fine, so far. Some issues with the screen when it's been on for a long time but so far no boot loop.

I sent my new Moto G (2015) in for repair and its been almost three weeks. They are completely useless, and they are now trying to charge me for a repair which they haven't even started yet.

I've never understood the need for NFC for payments. If you really wanted that couldn't you just keep a contactless card in your phone case (tucked behind it) and it would do the same job?

Great phone, very happy with mine except no gyroscope for VR / Pokemon Go. Paid £269 when it came out almost exactly a year ago.

The only let down for me with this phone.

For £155, this is a great phone. Pick this over the Moto G as this is a mid range phone whereas the G is budget.

Remember the G4 is under £130 on CPW Upgrade... This is better for the battery, camera and NFC though. G4 looks ugly anyway.

I've been considering the Moto G4 which is priced similarly (I've seen £140-£160) - is this a good deal (when compared to the Moto G4)?
