As mentioned in one of the older moto 360 post got mine for 79quid from the Oxford Street branch.....they price matched when I showed the the older post......might be worth a punt for those lucky enough to find a brand new one in store.....great device at a brill price :0)

can you put a different strap on it I'm thinking for swimming?....Also Email....I use Mail2web a web based email can you and how easy is it to set that up on here?

looks good for the price but...I uses pure Google Phones and I understand that there will be a Google smart watch out v soon - prob more expensive mind...but if I know the answers to the above it will help me decide... :smile:

went to Swindon and they definitely did NOT price match. told me it was brand new so they wouldn't price match Cardiff then I opened the box it was completely used, had even been synced to someone's phone and they just shrugged and said someone had tried it on instore

Was given one a year ago. So worth what I paid for it, but not a lot more.
Way too bulky. Bluetooth connection very hit and miss.
Entire Motorola/AndroidWear interface confusing even to a nerd like me.
Can't really see the point - if you want a 'fitness' tracker you can pick one up for $15.

Yes you can fit another strap - eg I changed the incredibly bulky/heavy steel one that was part of the configuration given me for a more compact/light black 'plastic' strap. Tho wasn't aware watch was water resistant, let alone submersible/waterproof!

Ooh, good price on a moto 360, I've owned one for about a year and a half now and the battery has some problems. It tends to cut out way before it reaches 0% charge. Not replacing it yet since there are rumours that google's releasing a couple of nexus watches (probably before the end of the year but we don't really know)

There are a number of these ones and the leather strap version at Horsham branch. I think the stainless ones were 80.

Dammit, almost had me until I realised it's not fully waterproof. Wanted to use for swimming and cycling with my Garmin. Lovely looking watch - the charging dock is great and the built in HRM looks good as well.

You can put another strap on but there are some fitment issues that can lead to the back cracking on this model.

Get the new model if you can or possibly the sport one (£140 at Argos).
I don't think that any are waterproof.

I brought one and love it, great nighttime clock- wireless charging - multiple faces - iPhone compatible - heart rate monitor - tells you when people phone, text & whatsapp - last all day battery - bloody cheap watch and fun to use!

changed my metal strap for a black silicon one and have a silicon bumper...all looks very nice and not massive on my manly wrists :O)

Also, I've had no issues with connectivity, bluetooth or otherwise.......for my simpleton needs this watch is lovely....not fussed about androidware 2.0, as I need it to tell the time and control my music....the odd phone call via bluetooth headset.....

Good deal for the moto, I have the sony smartwatch 3 which you can pick up quite easily for around this price as standard, although with a plastic strap.
Android wear 2.0 is unconfirmed for the Sony, but it looks like it will be far from revolutionary anyway.

One of the problems with Android mobile was/ is fragmentation between lots of devices and lots of versions of Android. It's a bit of a shame that Google seem to be making the same mistake with Android wear.

I ended up taking mine back as I prefer my Pebble steel. Plus when your dad says "whats that grandfather clock on your wrist" makes you think is it really that big?

Is this the best budget smart watch?

I ended up trading mine in through O2's Recycle scheme. As a gadget it was cool, but as a functioning daily-wear product it really wasn't.

I found the need to charge it every day (or in some cases during the day, too) a real negative point. You can turn off the battery-sapping features, but that results in your watch not actually being as functional as advertised.

I was also really disappointed by the lack of continued support from Google, with regards to Android Wear 2.0's release. This watch won't get the update, which given that it was only a year old at the time that 2.0 was announced, is not great. The internals of the watch are dated and that seems to be the reason for the lack of support. It took them months to get the last update out for it while other manufacturers got theirs out almost immediately.

I also think the gestures that you use to navigate the menus and functions are gimmicky and not as useful as advertised. I often found myself having to use my other hand to navigate the menus.

I know my views are negative but I think some honesty helps. I'm big tech geek but the Android Watch really didn't change or improve on anything that I can do with my phone.

I so wanted one of these Moto 360 watches, but couldn't get past the small flat tyre niggle, knew it would bother me ... in the end I got the Huawei W1 on lightning deal £249 at the time (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017XDOB6U) .. at the time of purchase it didn't support voice calling. About a month after owning it, they updated the software to enable that. Bonus!! :-)

For someone who never used to wear watches, to now having the W1, well worth the money, love it!
£99 is a bargain for someone wanting a very decent smart watch.

Looks like a nice gadget & if it was in stock ide be tempted..But it's bad enough charging the phone everyday...i'll stick to me solar powered Citizen for now!

Sticking with my pebble until the fancy ones can go a week without a charge like mine ! Also pebble works with iOS and android which is helpful as I like to switch every year as I find both os's great.
