Was trying to buy the Moto G4 from the previously posted Tesco deal, but the voucher code does not work, so looked around a bit and found this deal on Carphone Warehouse's website for £129.99 instead.
I see there is another thread for the same price at Amazon now, but I saw that too late.
One other note, I went through quidco and they are offering £5 cashback on all Sim Free phones at CPW, so total price should hopefully be £124.99

The Redmi Note 3 is better than this. More powerful hardware, more RAM, more native storage, aluminium unibody, better screen, longer lasting battery etc.
Im guessing this is the best under £150 buy? Or go for a Xiaomi?

I used to own an LG G3. Everything on paper is better but I found the thing would lag and stutter like crazy after a while and was seriously prone to overheating. I had to disassemble it in a restaurant once as the back and screen were too hot to touch from it just sitting in my coat pocket. That phone had some serious issues.
The Honor is a nice phone but Huawei's EMUI causes all sorts of issues even with a custom launcher (no lock screen notifications from the Gmail app etc).

The phone had the world's first QHD display which the chipset was not built to handle but I understand why you'd have such bad opinions over it! Btw, the G4 here is Motorola and not LG!
I'm looking at this phone too & been waiting for a good deal.
Got my student discount on top so £118.84 is the best I've seen it so far! :innocent:

For me the main criteria for a mobile phone is sound quality.
My Blackberry Q5 is excellent but failing eyesight has me looking for phone with a larger screen so the 4G may just fit the bill but has anyone experience of the sound quality and volume, speech only,Im not into playing music on one.
Thanks

TechRadar overate everything, not least because they heavily advertising driven these days.
The camera on this still lacks OIS and is still poor in low light.
If photos are important to you'd be better off with the G4 Plus with its 16MP snapper, phase detection and laser autofocus.

Assuming you don't mind the lack of 4G 800 MHz and the other drawbacks that come with buying from China.

how are these in comparison to the vodafone ultra 6?

This is better, & you're likely to get better support from CPW/Motorola than from Vodafone.
Yeah, I was referencing someone above asking how this compared to the LG G3 and Honor 5c. Someone else said the LG G3 was better and should buy that instead - I disagree.

I bought the same mobile phone from John Lewis on last Monday and paid £159.95. Any idea I can ask for a price match from John Lewis.

I'm on Three, so it works like a charm. As for China, they're both Chinese phones but judging from their respective track records, the Xiaomi is the better built, more reliable phone. Lenovo have reduced the component and build quality of every laptop they've fiddled with, so I can't imagine it's going to much different now they've got their mitts into Motorola.

I said buying from China, I wasn't talking about by whom or where they are manufactured.
Even if your on Three there would be advantages in having 800 MHz depending on your location.
Like is said, if you don't mind, I'm not for or against either.

Where, how and by whom it's manufactured is relevant to how likely it is to malfunction.
Ordered and paid for this phone from CPW on 2nd September. Nothing arrived. I phoned them today and after getting shunted on to 3 different members of staff they tell me it's out of stock. Didn't have the courtesy to inform me or refund my money till i phoned them. appalling, unhelpful, amatuer customer service. wouldn't go near them ever again
