Nice bit of rump steak at a decent price. If cooked correctly. Or (Rib eye 2 for £7)

If it costs a fiver then it's not the world's most expensive steak.

Chances of there being any stock are slim. But the offer gets you in the store, that's the con.

My kindly Morrison's butcher today cut me off (from a large joint) four rump steaks. He then cut off the "fatty ends" before weighing them and individually packing them. (Around £4 each)
Now that's what I call customer service!

I understand its the butcher's counter, but whatever is on offer is often cut by butchers and also put on the shelves, so to be accurate, I did not find offers at the butchers counter either and its the butcher who often said "its sold out" or "we did not have the delivery of "it" today" - happened as well. So I will "believe it" when I see it.

Well, it might not be a "con" as there are usually few packs of those good meat offers at my local Morrison - or so I am told when I get there as its never in stock - even 15 minutes after opening its apparently already sold out. So what kind of con is this? - one that wastes your time. I used to turn around and go to another shop to do my other shopping, now I won't bother to travel to Morissons at all. Offers that supply just few kilograms of meat for a large, all day open supermarket are a joke. :disappointed:

It's on the butchers counter, not in packets.
Thanks OP, got £15 worth and cut them up in to 8 decent sizes. It was priced at £15.18 but the butcher typed in £7.91

We shop at 2 Morrisons stores, ones near my daughters and their Butchers are really good and the prices are as good as Asda or Tesco.

This isn't the prepackaged stuff it's the butcher...and although I understand your concerns it's better than a lot of butchers near me.

Morrisons bakery is the best around but the butchers is crap... worst lamb out of all the supermarkets!
Hard to navigate the butchers too everything is a mess and over priced. Asda much much easier to find what you want and you know how much youre paying!

I like Morrison's but won't be buying their cheap rump steak again as the flavour was awful. I expect their aged stuff is fine.

If they have no stock of an item complain to the manager or head office.
If they sell out they sell out and they miss a sale.

It'll sell out by 10am if it's a usual Morrisons con.

How is it a Con if they have it at the advertised price?
Poor form maybe but hardly a Con
