Ever had a tea bag on a spoon in one hand and a cup in another ..well it opens for you and its hygienic as your not touching the bin all the time therefore spreading less germs

Ever just walked past a sensor bin with no rubbish in your hands and it opens anyway?
Annoying.

Bought one last week and could not go back to a normal one, especially for us having little ones as this bin is a little taller than normal so keeps hands away (plus the kids are scared by it bonus).

Come back in 12 months and let us know if it's still working!

I have one, the top is plasticy and it is too narrow to easily get the contents out.
Works well though. We now wave at the recycling bin but it isn't auto!

You know that you need to review your drinking habits when it waves back.

Well they should use sensors in public lifts too. Think of all the germs on those buttons.

Yeah - good idea - then they could select a random floor for you!

These are literally rubbish! I have one of these after my 12 yo brabantia gave up the ghost. The lid is plastic. It's a miracle if you eventually don't lose the battery cover (read Amazon reviews). It's also a nightmare to empty as it makes a vacuum. One of my worst purchases ever.

Reviews on Argos don't seem to bad?

The reviews on Amazon are more accurate. All though generous with stars, they're pretty honest reviews. I wish I'd paid attention, especially as the first one had to go straight back out of the box with a known fault. Mine I've had about a month and don't get me wrong it's ok. I wouldn't buy it again, it's really poor quality. The construction is terrible and it's a narrow bin anyway. They've made it even harder to get bags out (vacuum aside) because a lip on the top rips the bags. I give it another month before we've lost the battery compartment completely. It's just rubbish really.

Sorry but I've had this a week and had no issues at all, no ripped bags ? maybe a change of bag brand may help.
Yep the top is plasticky but hey its a £25 bin not a £200 stainless moben bin ffs.
For me it just works , its a bin that sits in the kitchen and does what its supposed to do.

Come back to me when you've had it a month like I have and you start seeing how that plastic lid wears and the battery cover  I'll also think you'll find it's not just me who has said the bin is too narrow to get contents easily out. Which it is by far. Someone has already said it and Amazon is full of people saying it.
