If it was a genuinely usable Windows machine, I'd be quite happy to give it a 'hot' but the entire 2gb/32gb eMMC/Atom thing is just a cynical exercise by Wintel to try and take sales from the bottom end of the laptop market which had been dominated by Chromebooks. That memory/storage is just horrible for a Windows environment and you can't even stick in an extra 2gb of RAM or plug in a high capacity USB3.0 flash drive. You can't even playback a 1080p/60 video on YouTube without it dropping frames. The absence of USB3.0 (which costs pennies over USB2.0) isn't coincidence either - it's designed to push people into paying for Office365/OneDrive storage.
If I was after a basic laptop for web browsing/emails etc, but was on a budget, I'd just buy a Chromebook off eBay. The Acer 720 for example, goes for anything between £50-100 and that's a superb 11.6" for those sort of basic tasks.

Just received mine in the post yesterday from Aldi (thankfully they have started free shipping on their special buys). This laptop is excellent for young kids and sutdents alike. The screen is leaps and bounds ahead compared to my uber powerful Dell Core i7pro Latitude e7240. It also comes with Windows 10 and runs really fast. For the light user it's perfect.

I know the guy in the video and he is definitely not a 'Medion affiliate'! He picked this up on a whim in his local Aldi.

You must be used to rubbish hardware then and judging by your comments in this thread, not even familiar with basics of hardware requirements under Windows.

From my point of view I've much more experience of similar devices than you. My experiences appear to be at odds with yours, a lot of negativity that I feel is rubbish and completely unjustified. Why are you here commenting?

Dell Venue 11. 1080p on a 10.8 inch screen. Happy with the screen, font size and no scaling issues. Considering phones manage to render text on smaller screen at higher resolutions I'm not sure what you think the problems are. Drop down menus aren't an issue if you know keyboard shortcuts.
With regards to build quality I can't speak to that. I know someone who has what I guess is an earlier version of this with an N series celeron CPU and 500GB drive in the keyboard and as far as I'm aware they're happy with it. I haven't spoken to this person for a few weeks but last I did they were still using it and they had it before I got my Venue so it has lasted a year or two at least.

Have you actually seen 1080p on a 11" screen? Text is tiny. Drop down menus in CC are virtually unusable as they don't scale.
And if all you want to do is edit text, there are better choices that this, as I've said already.
Text editors aren't demanding and run fine on 2GB 32GB Windows devices. I don't know how designers would get on but writers and coders, maybe even people who meddle with spreadsheets would enjoy the 1080p screen and full-size keyboard.
I don't know about you but I don't know anyone who types at a rate of 4 MBps and as such SD cards and the like would be fine. Maybe you should broaden your mind?

You're like one of those people who buys a 16MP camera and thinks its better than different camera that has 12MP aren't you?
If you could actually read, you'll see at #41 that I've said that the whole 2gb/16gb/Atom/deliberate omission of UBS3.0 spec is nothing more than a cynical exercise by Wintel. As for the Asus Eeebook etc, it's a better built and a more reliable machine that this shonky Aldi/Medion laptop, so if somebody really MUST buy something like this they'd be better off looking at one of those instead of this.
You really must try harder because repeatedly trying to justify your own lack of knowledge just makes you look very ignorant.

This has the same specs as the hp stream and asus Eeebook which you suggested getting earlier so all you have done is contradicted yourself and have ended up looking like a total fool. You can't compare this to a chromebook because it's running a different operating system. I won't be responding to you further because you obviously hate others posting deals for laptops which don't meet your inflated high standards.

Regarded by whom? An affiliate who gets paid for every clickthru link that results in an order?
As for 'same specs', you clearly don't know much about computers as ChromeOS and Ubuntu have a significantly lighter memory footprint than the infinitely more resource hungry Windows OS. And you can upgrade the SSD on the Acer 720 as it has an M.2 SATA slot and USB 3.0 whereas this has neither - just soldered on non-upgradeable eMMC.
You really need to try harder.

Don't feed the troll guys. He says 32gb storage and 2gb of ram is bad for Windows then suggests you buy another laptop with the same exact specs with a poor resolution screen. This laptop is regarded as having one of the best screens on the market for the price.

Can Windows run on a 2gb/32gb? Sure. Does it allow for high productivity? Absolutely not. As I've pointed out already, Windows does not run well in a 2gb/32gb/Atom environment with anything demanding. The fact that you think a SD card or USB2.0 stick, which are respectively very slow and slow when compared to SSD, somehow solves the problem, just shows that you don't know what you're talking about.

Windows 10 seems perfectly usable with just 2GB of RAM to me. 32GB also seems big enough to fit the OS and for storage of media etc a microSD card or USB sick can be used. Whether you like it or not Windows wins easily in a comparison against ChromeOS when it comes to enabling productivity. Also I'm not sure why you seem to think a travel laptop is a bad idea. Anyway, I don't want to argue, just point out that your opinions are at odds with my own.

Video here from a bloke who has actually bought it and it seems decent.
I bought a lenevo tablet with keyboard wit a similiar spec as this and its fine, I just wanted it when on holidays as I didn't to have my surface pro getting trashed by the pool etc. 10gb left after installing office 365 and some other progs, movies etc are on SD card or in the cloud.
Streams video fine and plays movies etc I just don't get these sweeping statements and pretentious guff about kit. I've been buying laptops since 1997 from most suppliers (Digital Equipment, Sony, Toshiba, Acer) and happy with this. Its just funny when people use throwaways lines like "it will struggle with anything but surfing the net" to be seen to be saying something
