Looks like an end of line deal where they try and get rid of the last few. I did see a DAB clock radio in Aldi recently but it did not look all that great. However I do need a temporary DAB radio until I can get the one that I want and if I could get one for £5.99 then it would do nicely. I did not see any left the last time I was in my local store so I do not hold out much hope on getting one.

Saw one in York Fulford Road store for £8 a few weeks ago but left it. I'm not convinced these have DAB+ so wouldn't be much use going into the future as more and more stations move to that format. Even now a new multiplex is DAB+ only :disappointed:

just got a white one from Batley, they had 4 or 5 in cabinet.

DAB+ is just a more efficient way of compressing channels on to the multiplex. You will still be able to decode the non DAB+ channels

Merely an update, still 4 left in glass cabinet in Batley store.
No doubt merely clearing old stock,if you look online though,these were in store at £18..
Aldi appears to clear items at managers discretion, so ARE store specific,however,probably not the only store in country clearing these out,I still love mine,all the extra channels,and sounds great,and hey its an alarm clock :-]

You seem to be missing the point.

The new national multiplex has 2 stations in DAB+ - the rest (approx 8/10?) are non DAB+, therefore the information was a load of rubbish.

Talksport 2 and TalkRadio are not in DAB+ either. SDL national 2 has less coverage than D1 though.
