Fabulously versatile, maris piper potatoes can be used for wedges, chips,
roasts, mash & jacket potatoes the ultimate all rounder.
A family favourite and a potato legend. These potatoes are the most widely
grown in the UK and are great all rounder's. Maris Piper's deliver crispy skins
and fluffy centred potatoes every time.

I'll keep an eye out for these, will they make good roast potatoes? Usually go for King Edwards as they make fantastic roasties.

Thanks OP, I'll buy some. Has anybody managed to find the Morrisons 12.5Kg sacks of potatoes for £2 lately?

They will indeed - though, like sausages, varieties of potato are very much a personal choice thing. Morrisons have them from time to time, I think, but we get ours at the farm gate for around £6 a 25k bag (but not for 4 or 5 weeks yet).

Can confirm farm gate price of £6 for 25Kg for earlys, the main crop which won't be available until next month are expected to be around £4.50 for 25Kg
That makes the equivalent of the earlys 60p a bag and 45p for the main crop - for 2.5Kg
