Just got a bargain at my B&M.
5 litre tins of Langlow Dual purpose wood preserver £ 0.50p a tin.
they had dark oak and red cedar.
Just had a quick look on amazon its over £20 a tin
Only downside no excuse for not doing the garden fence now.
This is spirit based far better than the water based stuff
The white spirit carrier solvent enables this active to achieve deep penetration into most common sizes of structural timber, allowing the active ingredient to give effective and long-term protection against wood rotting fungi and insecticidal degradation

if you're looking for a 'cheap' alternative wood preserver check out anti-freeze (Ethylene Glycol), its about the only thing that will sort out wood rot and act as a preservative as well. Can be over painted once dry, it can be lethal to pets so need to be carefull. I've recently used it, so will let you know in 10 years time how successful its been:)
Thear is lots hav clevva und articulated peepel on counsil estates dont ya no

My local "Don't go there after dark estate" have many houses with top of the range flat screen TV's but it wouldn't stop me buying one if the price was right.

absolutely got nothing to do with deal, Not Making Judgement but.... if I was told that by a salesperson I would take my business elsewhere highly offensive and totally out of
order in my opinion

When we bought our wooden garden shed recently, we had a choice of 4 colours, the lady who dealt with us said that Red Cadar is the housing association colour of choice, I quite liked it but in the end went for Autumn Gold, now having driven around a local housing estate I kind of see what she means. Not making judgement just what I was told recently.
