KMC chain links. I really like these and the going price is about £6.50 plus delivery. Saves having to break your Shimano chain to take it off and perfect for trail side emergency fixes.
Click and collect or an additional £2 for delivery.
To clarify, this deal is for 2 pairs of quick links

Fair play, but the deal you've linked to has nothing to do with the deal posted here. You might as well post a link to holiday in Norfolk on a thread about a holiday to Norway.

Sorry to disappoint you, but even less problem fitting Decathlon 10 speed links to Shimano 10 speed chains.Going to the lengths of research you've done to rubbish my actual experience, would have been better spent getting a Decathlon link and trying it.

No lengths mav, just followed a link to your link read reviews, cut, paste and shared.
I am not rubbishing your experience mav and I'm sure your experience is valid and is also the experience of many other cycling mavericks out there.
I was only ever sharing info about prices and specs from reputable websites. You may disappoint others but you haven't disappointed me - lighten up !

As I said may, or may not, depending on chain / link permutations.
If your 10 speed Decathlon links are not working on your 11 speed chain, take them off, but you may or may not, find trouble fitting onto a Shimano 10 speed chain - but apparently not on SRAM 10 speed. All that on the Decathlon website :
However, any chance you could share your maverick experience with Peter Lazarus UK Market Manager DECATHLON who posted to one customer :
"I've tried this with two different Shimano HG95 10 speed chains and in both cases I've been unable to fit the link, it's as if the link is slightly too narrow for the chain. In both cases, I've had to refit a different quick link from another manufacturer.
Response of the brand
Dear Sir, I'm sorry to read that the master link is not compatible with your shimano chain. The link is only compatible with SRAM chains. Please accept my apologies for the confusion. Please feel free to return it to store for a refund. If you no longer have your receipt, it's not an issue.
I have changed the wording on the product name online to make it clearer and to avoid future confusion."
Probably caused by just a fraction of a mm discrepancy, shouldn't make any difference - with your expertise Mav you should be able to clear it up for them in no time

In an ideal word, we'd all use 11 speed Quick links, as you say they are designed for the task in hand. But when KMC are priced at nearly £10 a pair, and a 10 speed QL works perfectly well, then I'll use a 10 speed QL
I'm please to see that Merlin sell another brand at a more sensible £5.38 for a pair, but that's still expensive compared to Decathlon

The commercial aspect of design outweighs practical aspect. e.g sim ejector tool

As I said, I'd be surprised, therefore I am, I never said it wouldn't work. Being an engineer, we don't design things for a laugh, there's a reason. If a 10 speed link worked 100% correctly on an 11 speed, an 11 speed link wouldn't have been designed.

Only a couple of tenths of a mm, which is why 10 speed links work fine on an 11 speed chain. The chain pitch is the same

They've been this price for some time, I prefer the gold ones as easier to see, but £3 for two is a great deal, I just got an 11 speed toy so managed to bag 2 links of a Taiwanese seller £4.55 and arrived in 10 days gobike88 the seller Search that name on eBay

You're talking about 0.30 mm! My 11 speed systems work perfectly well with a 10 speed quick link in a 11 speed chain, its all very well quoting sizes, but have you tried it?
Lets get it clear, you need an 11 speed chain to work with the sprocket width, but the 10 speed quick link is only marginally wider than the 11 speed link it doesn't make any difference. You can't use a 9 speed link

I'd be surprised if a 10 spd link works on an 11 spd as 11 spd chains are narrower hence having gears on the same hub as a 10.

I best take the 10 speed Decathlon quick links off my 11 speed set up, because they don't work. Sprockets are narrower, chains are narrower, but the chain pitch is the same between 10 & 11. Which is why a 10 speed chainset will also work with an 11 speed set up. And before you say I'd be suprised if it works, I'm running 2 11 speed set ups, with 10 speed chainsets, 11 speed chains, with 10 speed quick links

I had a spare one of these in my onboard kit along with a chain splitter tool ..all rather fortunate for another cyclist who I met with a broken chain which I fixed for him...and then the following day I donated my spare tube to another stranded cyclist ..so that cost me £6 as a free RAC for stranded cyclist service!!!...live in hope that someone does the same for me one day.
I now only have 11 speed bikes so ordered these
gutted. expecting to see 'you could buy a car for 2.99' comments. heat added

According to Wiggle site KMC Quicklinks have different pin lengths so may or may not fit other speed chains
KMC 9 speed link pin length is 6.6mm
10 speed link pin length is 5.88 (gold)
11 speed link pin length is 5.5mm

To clarify for the random comments:
- This a 10 speed chain link. They tend to be more expensive than 7, 8 and 9 speed chain links.
- I couldn't find this any cheaper delivered on eBay from a seller who I thought would send a genuine part, not an off brand equivalent. Would love to see a link to a cheaper KMC one.
- Never let Halfords actually touch your bike.
But don't forget your British Cycling 10% discount at Halfords making them £2.70 or in my case plus another 30% discount makes them just £1.79 a pack
One thing that many folk don't know, is that 10 speed quick links work with 11 speed chains just fine, and 11 speed quick links are bloomin expensive & harder to fit. I've used 10 speed ones without any issues
These aren't a bad price, although I have a stock of Decathlon 10 speed ones.

That's cool, was wondering what the difference was between 10 and 11 speed links. 11 speed ones are too pricey.

just don't get them to put it on for you. I had my 9 speed chain changed at halfords and they put a standard 7 speed link on.
Ok, so I'll buy those then sell my ten speed bike and replace it with a six speed one so I can use them shall I? Duh.
