Delicious soft baked white bread perfect for sandwiches, toast and the lunchbox. Kingsmill soft white bread is low in sugar, fats and saturates.

wow I didn't know white bread could get someone so annoyed. Seems people on here disagree with you, judging by the heat the op has been given.

Who would buy 2 for £1.50 if it's £0.50 each

I wonder if that price is correct, they are normally on offer £1.00 each or 2 for £1.5o

There are so many things about that price comparison graphic of the last 12day period that make me laugh and cry a little inside.

How exactly is it "false"?
The difference in taste is largely down to the the flour, fresh bread made with white flour tastes a lot closer to white sliced than wholemeal sliced.

white bread is a source of some vitamins and minerals as the flour is fortified.
before you say it, the same vitamins and minerals are added to brown bread as well

You don't have to go out your way to eat healthy... Wholemeal or 50/50?

Decent, but Tesco's Toastie bread for 50p (standard price) is awesome.
Good deal nonetheless.

Voted hot as good price, I personally don't like Kingsmill bread but if looking for a gamechanger, Jackson's Bloomer bread white loaf is the dog's nuts. (Morrisons and Waitrose sell it). Up north where I'd still call home (I'm in Hampshire now) my favourite was Roberts, and I'll still always come home with a loaf if I'm up visiting family.

you talk about white bread tasting false, and suggest 50/50 as an alternative? how does that taste any different? (admission I eat 50/50)

What about the poor wheat farmers and bakers? How much are they getting paid to supply this?

I'm sure Kingsmill are doing ok out of it. they are not market leader so need to price competitively. wheat gets brought on futures markets like oil or gas so the farmer has already been paid. a portion of the wheat will have come from Canada so given the current exchange rate bread will rise in price shortly!

Can't you tell a sarcastic humorous comment when you see one. DUH.

well the way retailers treat suppliers in this country and the way dairy farmers are struggling it could have been a serious point. duh.
