What do you mean by "boys one"? Any child can ride any bike unless gender stereotypes are forced upon them...

Fantastic, Ordered, my LO is 23 months and was looking for something like this.
Shouldn't the girl on the JL website be wearing a helmet?
And where is a good place to get a helmet from?

I'm going to paint the middle bit as the wheels look blue. Not gender preference, it's a choice and my boys like blue personally, not unicorns!!

Thoroughly recommend these metal balance bikes.
Both our kids love these. Older one rode everywhere from about 2 1/2 to 4 3/4 at which point he went straight onto a pedal bike without stabilisers.
Younger one having seen bigger one doing it is now 3 and has been riding one everywhere since she was 2.
A brilliant buy and IMHO one of those actual must-haves, compared to all the stuff that the corporations say you have to buy for kids (Moses basket, cot, toddler bed, pram, buggy, high chair etc - none of which you need).
If you have children in this age bracket you won't regret buying one of these .

Hello... I've never heard of the "firstbike" brand until you mentioned it... No idea what benefits they offer... My two kids have two of these, actually a different brand but identical, and they are brilliant all-weather balance bikes and prep them perfectly for big bikes... The oldest one of these is 3 years old and still going strong, exactly as the day it was bought...
So in conclusion, cannot make a comparison to "firstbike" but these are superb.

OK done a smidge more research. I suspect that with "firstbike" you are paying double-triple the price to pay for all their marketing, "awards" they have won etc.

Balance bikes are fantastic, can't recommend them enough. (I was lucky enough to get a deal on a used Islabikes Rothan which normally hold their value very well.) This looks great for the price, though, and at 4.1kg to the Islabike's 3.1kg isn't too heavy. I've seen some balance bikes that weigh in close to 7kg and little kids are going to struggle getting something like that upright without an adult to help.

So **** off I'd promised my daughter this so ordered another from Amazon for £33.
My order has also been cancelled. They could have told us much sooner. They even had the cheek to update the price back to the old price of £69 for a few days. Did not expect this from John Lewis

Email says it's out of stock and has been discontinued - therefore if it ever magically comes back into stock at a higher price then we can all have a go at getting them to honour our orders at the lower price. Might have half a chance with it being John Lewis.
