Not at all. I've had one for years and use it for smoothies (greek yoghurt plus frozen fruit or milk, banana and frozen fruit). It's also useful to grind linseed (you can buy it already milled but it's of questionable nutritional value and very expensive; it's cheaper to do it yourself - the Polish shops around here sell whole linseed for £1 per 400g and we do add it to our breakfast every day). And I also use it to grind oats for linseed and oats face mask. I paid over £20 back when and it's worth every penny in my opinion.

I wish they had them near me. I have one of these but have broken one of the jugs. They are excellent.
