You get them for playing the game for a certain time period (or you can just use Idle Master). The cards appear in your Steam inventory. You can collect them if you want or just sell them and put the money towards games you want as I do. Most only worth a few pence each but every little helps...

Idol Hands too, though that doesn't have trading cards.
