Let me explain how fakes enters Amazon's supply chain. Some dishonest people buy from Amazon and return a fake for their money back sometimes opened, other times unopened. If it is returned unopened, Amazon will sell on only to have sold a fake. If opened, they may sell it in the warehouse and that will be a fake from Amazon direct but wouldn't have been so if some customers had not acted dishonestly.

My order arrived today and I loved the scent so came back to order a couple more but alas no more deal

£24 now and from a 3rd party seller

I just received some lancome from amazon and it's definitely genuine so I'm willing to accept my previous experience was a one off. worth checking 'all beauty ' if you don't like Amazon, I've never had a fake from them and they are very cheap.

Used this perfume for over 4 years, Amazon or Debenhams it always smells the same as long as it's not from 3rd party sellers.

If you indeed receive a returned fake as claimed in the theory above you can just get your money back. For the £20 I save compared with buying from high street stores it's worth the effort.

£24.57 for 15ml, but £20.25 for 125ml? Fishier than the contents of Baldrick's apple crumble! :man:

I used to buy fragrances from Amazon, assuming if direct from them it'll be ok, but decided recently it's just not worth the risk. As I am 100% sure I have had fakes direct, telltalle signs being no longevity of scent, probably due to what opaninkofi describes.

Shame, as it used to be my go to place for the regular Issey Miyake, but now I just suck up the extra cost and go either Boots, Superdrug, John Lewis etc. Although, if price difference is too much, then probably just not buy it. Crazy that this is £30+ cheaper than most other retailers, tho.

Yes Amazon have sold me fakes in the past. They are quick to offer a refund though when you send fragrance back. That is only difference.

​It didn't have Prime delivery yesterday when I "checked well", just expedited delivery for Prime members. Seems to have changed now but that does indicate they have different stock in different locations

this is one of my favourites. for those saying it's ok it won't be fake direct from amazon however, despite me being a super loyal/compulsive Amazon shopper, I had fake issey original direct from them. I had a genuine bottle to compare it to and there were clear differences in quality of construction of both the bottle and the juice itself. it didnt last five minutes on the skin. despite this I'm tempted to give them one more try as it's a great price! voted a hesitant hot lol

I wonder if they drop the price to clear out the batch of fakes.

dispatched and sold by Amazon BUT not prime delivery which usually means it's a 3rd party seller. Odd

It's more of an evening fragrance than the regular Issey, a bit less sweet and a bit more smokey. I've had a lot of the other Issey fragrances, and I really like Issey Blue, but I will say that none of the others have anything like the insane staying power of the original Issey Miyake.

FYI, I picked up 3 of the 125ml EDT bottles of the regular L'eau D'Issey the last time they had this going stupidly cheap from Amazon (like this offer) and there were no issues. I've been using that fragrance for years.

I tried a search for the link to the post on here but can't see it. It was around £15 that time and everyone was suspicious but no one had any issues with the stock they received. This was about 6 months ago.

Make sure you buy from Amazon. Reviews are for all the sellers including Amazon hence some fake comments
