Tried the diet version and it's awful. Horrific even. Hopefully this stuff tastes more like the original.

It doesn't. It actually tastes worse than the sugar free stuff. Rank. Bought 4 bottles of the stuff too :disappointed:

I've bought this a few times and it's so much better than the sugar free stuff. Not quite as good as the regular, but very good for diet

Morrisons do a very good own brand version called Iron Brew, or something like that, which is crazy cheap, around 50p for 2L. Might have to give this Irn Bru Xtra a go though.

Try the 'iron brew' that they sell in Lidl for 45p - we got the sugar free version and I think I actually preferred it to Barrs. We normally NEVER buy cheap pop but the kids wanted it!

I've tried this and can't decide if I like it. It's sweeter initially than normal Irn Bru and then the aftertaste is dry like Sugar Free Irn Bru.
I wish Barrs had done what they do with a lot of their other drinks and use a mix of sugars and sweetners to help protect taste but reduce calories

Thought it was pretty good as I prefer the fat bru to the diet.

Barrs Irn bru is brewed to the secret recipe and I feel nothing comes close taste wise
