HP Deskjet 1512 All-In-One Printer £15.99 at Argos (was £29.99). Seems a good deal to me. Cheap printer, handy for having for the kids school work. Includes printer scanner, copier.
Not sure about ink cartridge costs, but can always be refilled which is a very cost effective way of replacing ink which is what i do myself.

My sister in law picked one of these up.. I was worried it wouldn't work on her PC, but HP has really excellent Linux support.. in case anyone was wondering.

Takes 301 cartridges, both colour and b&w costs about 15 quid. I have a model higher with wifi assist, which you can pick up for about £40 in the sales. Good printer for household use.
