Great TV for price and better spec than the slightly cheaper model, this one also has thinner bezel.

just be mindful this set doesn't do hdr10 on xbox one s , xbox one recognise it there is a video on youribe about it.
if they update it it would be a good set to pick up and I've heard good things about this quality.
apparently pope have been told by hisses support it is a 10bit set, but like all customer service tell you what ya want to hear.

They normally won't as they only match for products with the same guarantee... crafty!

Tempted by the 55" one.
Does it have HDR? I've found conflicting reports online so if anyone who already has one could shed some light on it that'd be great.

be careful, the set is a lot thicker than the pictures AO decided to use. They have done a nice photoshop to make it look very thin. Crafty.

I brought the 55inch version of this tv last week.
It only has HDR from USB - not by streaming. And the Netflix app in 4k is quite "juddery", not quite smooth, yet 1080p plays back fine....somewhat disappointing.
Yes 4k on this looks great but im kind of disappointed with the picture quality, you can see the backlighting on my set and HD on this doesnt look as good as my older Samsung Plasma.

Rule number one with TV's - never compare plasma to lcd! Plasma is always a winner against led lcd etc...
As for juddering maybe there is new firmware for it? Surely there would be numerous complaints if its true?

own this TV and LOVE IT.... really really good value. Menus are fast, not a fan of any "smart" TV as I tend to use external boxes (such as Amazon Fire TV) and overall I'm very impressed with this TV. Highly recommend it.
If I had to buy again I would do so in a second.

Screw it, every time I see a 50in TV I realise I'm watching a 42in plasma that is working fine and I don't watch much TV anyway....why am I even looking durr

I've made that mistake, I buy stuff which makes me happy for a few minutes then I want something more or better and wish I hadn't bought it. This is the consumer nightmare we all live in, how much stuff do we really need? Even though technology is my job, it's become technology for technologies sake, an endless stream of technological drivel, more phones, more computers, more coding, more pixels, more, more, more! Anyway I'm off to live in a tent cya

Hate that I'm always tempted by TV deals even though I have a perfectly functioning 5 year old 50" Plasma. Good thing is though I can tell myself that most TV's won't beat it's picture quality and motion even today so it helps subside the urges to by a huge 4K TV!

What's some good settings for viewing Kodi on this and playing the ps4? If I stream Kodi will that be in 4K and hdr?? Or is it just from usb? I read somewhere they would be updating for hdr.

Bought the 55" version of this a couple weeks back.
ill give some bullet point details:
i went from a 43" samsung plasma.
4k streaming from youtube is incredible.
ps4 is very very good.
sd channels dont look very good
hd channels look good
blu rays look brilliant
netflix look good but sometimes has a bit noise on screen (but not a deal breaker)
blacks are good considering its an LED
i use a sound bar but the TV speakers are the best ive heard on a flat screen tv
i notice very little motion blur, and ive been looking out for it (coming from plasma i was very wary)
all in all its a fantastic TV for the price, i have had friends and family round and they all say how great it looks.
i wouldnt hesitate to buy another.
i actually bought mine from argos for £529
only a real tv snob would be unhappy with this tv

Will this play 4K content streamed from Kodi? Or is it just when downloaded and played through usb. If it streams it through Netflix it should stream through Kodi right?

It all depends on what the source is, if your Kodi source AND output is 4k then yes no issues.
