Bit of a niche product, I know you can get bath shower mixer taps cheaper than this, but this is a good price for a Grohe tap with 5yr guarantee. Look to be well over £150 elsewhere with shower head and hose attachment included.

Grohe are actually worth it, they're top quality and last long.

Just bought similar from Lidl for £19.99. I have several Aldi taps around the house which are 6+ years old, still working perfectly, chrome as new and are nicer to use than similar looking Bathstore ones which were £100. I'd like to think that paying more got you better quality but I'm not so sure on these things. Aldi/Lidl ones are guaranteed for 3 years too.
Yes, this is a big reduction - but does it actually get you better taps?

Quality product hot from me. Only reason I didn't buy is I'm looking for the thermostatic version.

Grohe taps actually work out economical overall, as they last a lot longer than the cheaper imports.

Surely the vast majority of taps, no matter the branding on them. are made in China these days? Certainly the ones a relative bought from Bathstore for almost 230 quid which I replaced with identical taps from iBathUK for 76 quid were (we had them side by side before the Bathstore ones were returned for refund). My bath taps were unashamedly made in China and have so far given sterling service over the last 26 months. IME tap snobbery is bordering on wine snobbery. :stuck_out_tongue:

Grohe is a quality maker, you see them a lot in hotel bathrooms in UK and Europe.

I went cheap 2 years ago and had to replace after 14 months when the ceramic disc went, as for 5 year warranty check the small print.... more hassle then what it was worth and I now have Grohe in my home, that and Hudson Reed

For folks not bothered about brand name, something like this is under £51 delivered. 5 year guarantee too!
Good advice, had this (or a very similar one) in my last house, shower heads usually terrible but the tap itself does a prefectly good job and excellent value for money! The Grohe does look and feel much more substantial and higher quality however so its all about your requirements I suppose.

The quality of Grohe products is some of the best in the industry, the chrome plating for example is simply superb compared to other brands, they operate super smooth too. You'd be loosing more than a brand name going to that.
