Rare? It's not that rare, more like un or misdiagnosed but they are getting more switched onto it and even the NHS describe it as 'common'

I think anyone with an ounce of sense realises that something humans have been eating since they were barely able to walk on all fours is not bad for you unless you are a coeliac - and it's a very rare ailment that certainly doesn't affect anything like the market currently consuming gluten-free lifestyles.

I saw a clip of the Hemsleys feeding fish fingers coated in coconut to children. If someone had presented that to me as a child I would have run off to my room crying.

Unfortunately the rise of the internet as a resource for instant information has also made it a resource for crackpot theories and misinformation to find its niche - so if you google 'lettuce gives you cancer' you're almost guaranteed to find a site that claims this very thing.

I leave my instructions on dietary requirements to qualified doctors and nutritionalists not attractive middle-class 20-somethings with no more qualification to tell me what to eat than Colonel Sanders. I can understand why people might aspire to be like them and subsequently follow their lifestyle though, and as I said it is good for those with actual allergies in the long-run as it means their formally specialist foodstuff is actually a lot more affordable.

Good price for gf. Not the world's best biscuit, but not bad. No gluten makes them a bit dry IMHO, but I buy them to have with a coffee.
Been in poundland at this price for months, though. Heated anyway to give others a heads-up.

I have tried these and do find them dry but quick dunk in tea and they are fine.

A lot of people have jumped on the gluten-free bandwagon because influential YouTube vloggers like the Hemsley sisters tell them it's bad for you, when it isn't; however if there is one good thing to come out of it it's that people with an ACTUAL allergy to gluten get cheaper gluten free products, to the point where they end up in Poundland. So idiotic self-diagnosis isn't all bad :P

These are good for GF. Keep them in a dry place after opening and they will stay crunchy. Gullon are a big Spanish biscuit company - not a back street outfit.
