Not as stupid as you take a GTX 970 vs rx 480 not that much difference = minimal

How much better than the 970 is it? Is it night and day difference?

Don't think I can really vote hot for this. You can get a 970 now for a fair bit cheaper 2nd hand if you wish to take a 'bridging' option before spending a bit more on a better card in a year or so.
And, if you have the money now for this, then it really is worth picking up a 1060 for a bit more, maybe even a non blower version for a tad more (see the recent Asus deal) when they're in stock,
Got a Windforce 970 from Shpock 2nd hand mint condition for £120 the other day. Far more of a better option than buying new at this moment in time.
Once DX12/Vulkan has further established itself, then you look at the market again.

I was about to say similar. Perfectly good second hand 970's are about £110 and there's bucket-loads of them around. Not voted.
Good call on Shpock. Not something I'd seen.

If you want a 970, try going for a Zotac. You get a 5 year warranty if you register the card with them within 28 days.

I'm basing my logic on DX12 not Vulkan. Vulkan would be worse for the 970 lmfao.

You cant base you logic on Vulkan how many game actually support it? You read to many benchmarks the difference in gaming terms is minimal depending on what resolution you game at..

minimal? you call gains of 20% vs 970 loss of 10% minimal? lmfao

It's a very poor cooler and once you add delivery, not worth it. Sorry OP, not voting.

Cheapest but I'd opt the extra tenner for a better cooler (unless you need a blower style for a sff case)

it's an outdated card. losing performance in dx12 and Vulkan.
rather get a 470

Just no Vulkan isn't mainstream and the difference with directx 12 is minimal.
Cold for the price and hot for still being a good card = no vote.

Where is the spec from OP? I notice yours says 3 year warranty from date of manufacture?
