Yeah, I held off playing this for a long time on account of the reviews. Eventually picked it up at a reduced price and was pleasantly surprised. Not the strongest in the series, but that doesn't mean it's utterly beyond merit.

Contrary to that POV - I have to say, I really enjoyed the game, helped by the fact that I never paid £60 for it...
Graphically, really strong - the controls, well, you get used to them, and the PVP is great with friends. I also played co-op missions with a buddy and we had a hoot.
Can't really fault the experience for less than a tenner.

Great price but if you are getting Gears of War 4 for Xbox One you will get the original trilogy + Judgement for free.

Don't bother, it's an abomination. I put out £60 on it at release included the map packs, probably got about 5 hours of play from me in total. They changed the controls/weapon selection etc... horrible game.
I'm a massive fan of the Gears franchise (1, 2, 3 and the 4 demo), stay clear of Judgment though.
