The problem is Intel have no real reason to push out big jumps. Sandybridge was so much of a jump that, AMD have floundered since.
Intel probably have a Sledgehammer in the wings if AMD finally get their act together. In the mean time Intel will have been enjoying increased profit percentages flogging an old but competitive horse.
I miss my Athlon 3200XP so I hope they do pull a cracker soon.

just wondering but if you were to get this bundle with the ssd, then return the cpu for 99 quid. do you get to keep the ssd?
