As with most Google Play Music deals it's new customers only, so if you have ever used it before, and surely most people must have by now as they are hardly a new thing, you can forget about taking advantage of this. :disappointed:
Surely with all the ex-customers they must have it would be more sensible to do a deal for those...

just had a look at switching from Spotify. Searched for some songs I have in my Spotify songs, with no search results... think I'll stay with Spotify for now

I did try apple music - totally forgot about that the UI was dreadful IMHO
It has improved apparently - it needed to.
Never heard of 'groove'

Groove is provided by Microsoft.
I'm about to come to the end of my Deezer £1 deal. I've already done trials with GPM and Spotify. All of the above were good in their own little ways, be it tight integration with your own music on GPM, the extensive catalogue and playlists of Spotify and the fuctionality of Deezer (Deezer Google Casting was far more reliable than Spotify). I would love to fully sign up to one of these services, but as we get ripped off in Britain in comparison to the rest of the world, I refuse to do so. If they brought our prices in line, I would sign up.

How do you get the prepay deal? Would do this but can't justify £10 a month

i subscribed to this when the same deal was available around Christmas time, i'm really impressed with the selection of bands on it. I have a very weird/niche taste in music and i rarely struggle to find the band i'm looking for.
definitely go for it for a £1 for three months and you'll probably keep it going.
You shouldn't pay more that £8.00 for apple music or £8.50 for GPM
If £8.00 is okay iTunes vouchers are 20% off very two months or so.
Google play 15% off less often but if you click link above #18 if GPM did their 1/2 price offer again - happy days!
hope this helps

To those trying to get the cost per month down, why not look at the Google Music or Apple Music family plans. £14.99 for up to 5 people, potentially as low as £3 per user.
Once I've used all my Google Play credit on the £7.99 deal (early adopter) I'll be switching over to the family plan for my wife and I, I'm then thinking off adding my sister and sister in law.

Thanks OP. My £1 for 3 months deal ended yesterday on my other Google account. Was able to switch accounts and get 3 months free, even though I've had this type of offer before on the same accounts. Happy days!

Really? Perhaps I'm in a minority, but I only know 2 people that have ever paid for a streaming service. I use Google music to sync all of my music for free. I stream from Spotify for free, and just accept the adverts (normally get the first advert which gives you 30 minutes advert free listening, which is normally enough for me anyway).
Does the Google streaming service allow you to download and keep offline, even after you've stopped subscribing?

if you have an iPhone you can listen to spottily on shuffle mode without listening to any adverts on wifi if you download "weblock" app.

Yes I think you are right - I think you have to sign up to GPM to have the search function.
As I said, just post one artist - one album and I will search for you.
hope this helps
