This is the price I paid last time. Is it really a good deal? I've been buying them at this price on Amazon for years!

If you get this, make sure you keep the receipt for the guarantee as it will break. A lot of the cheap bar showers use rubbish parts for the knobs which mean over time -especially in a hard water area, they become almost unusable.
Good for the price -although can sometimes be had on eBay for similar price- but i wouldn't use it in the family bathroom unless you are willing to swap it out before the warranty is up!
Beware some reviews also state a non universal fitting.

Good timing as having problems being able to adjust the temperature on our shower. The unit we have looks very similar. I've never replaced a unit like this but assume the only thing I need to make sure of is that the distance between pipes is the same? Measured mine as 150mm; the same as this having checked the description on screwfix.

Should be OK, quite easy to do, just remember to replace the washers.

Picked one up this morning and unfortunately it wasn't a straight swap as the fitting isn't universal. As my original unit has broken, was off and and I had the water turned off with just an hour spare I nipped along to local plumbing place and bought a Bristan (paying over the odds) and installed that. Job done in minutes. Now to return the screwfix one...
