Good price and AO are a great company.
I have dealt with them a few times, once for my mum who was in her late 80's at the time, who would not let anyone in her house that she didn't know.
I had fully explained this to the sales team, who put it on their system and when the delivery driver was outside mum's house he contacted me to ask me for a password that my mum would know and also told me to stay on the phone with my mum until he got to the door. I contacted my mum, gave her the password, he then told mum the password, spoke to me on the phone and reassured mum that he wouldn't be long in her house.
They removed all the packaging from the new fridge-freezer, took away the old one and all the packaging, plugged the new one in and even told her to lock her door when they left.
They then contacted me to let me know they were finished.
It was piece of mind to me especially being over 100 miles away.
Fantastic company.

I don't think it is up to you to comment on another person's circumstances when you don't know anything about them. There maybe dozens of reasons why her mum cannot live with her or doesn't want to move to live with her.

I always thought Dysons were overrated, but having bought a V6 a few months ago I've changed my tune. I'm finding 20 minutes is ample to clean regularly rather than trying to do it all to a high standard with a corded vaccuum less frequently.
I never thought I'd say it, but I actually quite like hoovering now, thanks to the V6. It's nice and light and empties easily too.

Anyone having the same problem or can anyone tell me if I'm getting it wrong?

Generally quoting what others have said on the net, not particularly this site. I know I could not cover all of my house in that time and lots of reports of 15 min hoover rather than 20. Think I will wait til the V8 comes down in price a bit.

I have long hair, I guess more hip length than waist length, so I shed a lot.... Has anyone had any experience of picking up long hair, either human or pet?
I love my Miele, it does ok with the big Vaccuum but I feel my motivation would be better with a lighter bagless cleaner, for more regular cleaning.
Also I read lot about wall mounts - I'm not allowed to mount anything to the wall as I rent, but I assume you can charge this without having to maim the walls?
Thanks!!!

I actually said "ample to clean regularly", assuming that was your attempt to quote me?.
I get 20 minutes out of a charge, and the point being made by myself - and others it seems - is that this is ideal to do the hoovering little and often. A few rooms a day makes it far less of a chore. If I were trying to do the entire house to a high standard, with my old vacuum it'd take an hour or so. However, a large part of that was down to the poor manoeuvrability of it, cord management and moving furniture. Take away those aspects, and you realise that 20 minutes of actual hoovering can cover a great deal of ground.

Why don't you stay with old mum living 100miles away is bad decision making in the first place. We are always not there for our parents when they need us. A 80 year old woman living by herself with the condition she is in shouldn't be living by herself she should have her own family around her because you never know tomorrow never comes

This is of actual suction, this doesn't include the time it takes for you to move the sofa.
This makes it much easier to keep on top of your vacuuming.

I have to agree with the others- this is amazing!! Tried two other Dysons - Dyson Animal Small Ball and the DC55 Absolute. I have two dogs who moult a lot!!! Both vacuums went back as they couldn't pick up the dog hair better than my Bissell. This little thing is a power house!! Picks up everything and believe it or not I can vacuum my whole house before the battery runs out. With the exception of the stairs!!!. I live in a 3 bedroomed house. Can't recommend it highly enough x

The V6 is a powerful little machine, I have the older version DC34 which we use daily but when I borrowed a V6 it was powerful enough to almost suction itself to the carpet.
This is a great price, and they are perfect if you have hardwood floors and need something to suck up the dust balls etc. or just a few carpeted rooms. Obviously a 5 bedroom carpeted house will require something plugged in.

the reality is 15 minutes and even if it was 20 minutes I dont think most people can hoover a house in that time

best thing I've ever bought! I paid 300 quid for mine and had my moneys worth after a week. I used to hate hoovering twice a week, now I love doing it daily as it takes me 10 minutes downstairs and another 10 to do stairs and upstairs. I rotate daily. cleaning inside it is an issue I need to address but I'll just use a soft bottle brush or similar. At this price I'd definitely purchase if on the fence, you won't regret
Good price....Good shop...great product, but you'd either have to live in a very small space or be rather dim to buy one as your only vacuum cleaner.

Or just vacuum more frequently, in smaller sessions. I'm in a three bed place and it's perfect for me to do a few rooms every day or so rather than one big vac about once a week.
It's also great for doing the car.

I've got three Dysons. I have a small dog. I hoover up its hairs. The air the two upright dysons put out smells. The air the V6 puts out smells even more of dog and mould. And unfortunately the exhaust points more or less direct at you as you use it. It's not just a matter of cleaning the two filters, and trying to clean the exposed parts of the cyclone, the electric brush needs to be disassembled regularly for cleaning. It's not just the brush but the bit leading to the hose which collects dust and fluff.
As a final resort, I've completely disassembled the cyclone and washed (and dried) all the parts thoroughly.
It still smells. If you look on the Internet, it's a regular complaint about the v6.

I can definitely see the appeal of this vacuum. I have a Henry vacuum which is possibly the best vacuum ever made. I own a 3 bedroom house and live on my own and I rarely vacuum because the tw*tt*ng vacuum requires me not to be lazy and plug it in, then lug it upstairs and down, so this Dyson interests me as much as a vacuum cleaner could do.
