the campaign is awesome on this game!

There were some multiplayer ones on release. but nothing that would affect the main campaign.

What is CTF like on this game? I saw a video where when you capture the flag a voice naffly says "You have delivered the flag.".

That's not quite the way it works, the publisher still screws the developer when buying new :stuck_out_tongue:

Well the original sale will have gone to the developer, there is nothing to say that a preowned sale would of resulted in an original sale.

Except the preowned sale means the buyer wont buy a new copy. Im not saying its wrong to buy preowned but it is something to bear in mind. I always think, if your want to see more of a certain type of game then buy new.

Whatever the developers cut is, it's still better than 0.

And ultimately, if the publisher isn't making money then there won't be a sequel. I buy pre owned games, think they're great. That said howeverit pains me to see people buying pre-owned copies of games like The Last of Us, Bloodborne, Doom etc, genuinely brilliant games that deserve to be rewarded with success. If the difference is £5-10 then I can understand people's loyalty not stretching that far, but I see people effectively giving great companies the middle finger and buying pre owned copies that are literally a couple of pence cheaper.

The gaming industry is bigger than it's ever been and it is growing - publishers/developers (looking at you SI) spread myths concerning piracy, borrowed games, DRM and DLC in order to justify tighter control over their product and reduced ownership by the person who buys the game. The only ones getting crippled are the consumers, who get less of the software they buy year by year - I wouldn't be surprised if, soon, games became tied to a single console, preventing re-sales and even borrowing, like Microsoft tried to do with the XBONE.

Used books, used cd's, used cars, used tools, used electronics, used dvds, used furniture, and well......used everything.

If used products actually hurt their respective industry then how come video games are the ONLY industry that complains about them? Billions are lost every year in used car sales but you don't hear Ford constantly on a rant about how they are losing money do you? What about books? There are used book stores everywhere, Amazon has hundreds of thousands of used books on it right now, hell the god damn library lets people use books for free. Car boots, charity and ebay alone would be the direct cause of thousands of industries closures everyday if used products actually hurt their industry.

There is not a shred of evidence that used games have harmed developers and publishers. Used games have existed since the beginning of the industry and last I checked, the game industry makes more money every console generation and now makes more money than the movie industry (which doesn't whine about used DVD and BD sales) so I don't see how used games are poisoning the industry.

Don't be a sucker; buy, sell and enjoy used games. It's a fantasy created by greedy publishers and arrogant developers. Games will always exist, you're not harming anyone.

Well said. Also worth noting that the only way many people are able to buy brand new on release day is if they are able to sell the copy on afterwards.

You also have the issue of things like 'No Man's Sky', This is a case where I say the publisher and dev deserve to lose money, on the basis they lied to sell more copies. purposely held back from saying it isnt multiplayer to imply it is, when they knew 100% full well it wasnt.

Battleborn for xb1 has GwG written all over it....

My thoughts exactly. Id quite happily buy a Call of Duty title used but the idea of buying a game like Witcher 3 or The last of us feels wrong. And its not even like your saving a huge amount on used games anyway!

I'm not suggesting we should all abandon used games, frankly I think they're brilliant - I've purchased games used out of sheer protest to missing features or horrendous DLC policies. But, I do think that the developers who genuinely do care and do provide outstanding entertainment should be rewarded with a bit of loyalty, which is why I choose to purchase games from certain companies new, or if I've bought it pre owned and loved an experience (like Bloodborne) I'll support the DLC and buy a new copy or an updated copy if and when possible. I'm not suggesting we all abandon pre owned games, I just think people should think more carefully about who they're supporting. Would you rather pay £20 and see Naughty Dog get some money, or give Music Magpie £17 for a game they bought for a fiver? That's my only real thought on the whole deal.

Good price, but I don't understand the heat when a new copy is only £3 more, maybe I'm missing something.

I prefer new things to second hand ones, I'd much prefer to pay just 3 quid more for a new copy.
Sure, if it was £1 for the game then £3 extra would be a lot, but in this case it's very little.
