Ah, the joy unwrapping a new game! First thing I like to do is open the case and take a big deep whiff for that 'new game smell' <3:smile:

The scary thing about a new game is when you open the delivery package and look at your freshly wrapped box and hear a loose cd.
Disappointment, and the fear of a scratch is horrifying!

Absolution us a terrible game but Human Revolution and any other Deus Ex game have tons of replayability. I've played Deus Ex 1 about 10 times, and played Human Revolution 3 times with over 60 hours so far.

Yeah, it's going to come down in price fast this one. I'll pick it up sub £20.

This game, along with it's predecessor had a nasty tendancy to plumit in price and value after a couple of weeks. I'd say this will be below a tenner before Xmas easy (Human Revolution and Hitman Absolution for example, really good single player games with very little replayability).
I'm quite happy to wait, not in a rush at all for this.

Loose game discs are nothing really to worry about anymore, PS4/Xbox one games are blu ray discs and BD's have a scratch resistant coating (unlike Dvds/Cd's), you really have to be trying hard to scratch it make a mark.

Only game I have preordered all year, the intro was very dull but I am now hooked!
Not as good as human revolution, doesnt feel as smooth and the dialogue is definitely not smooth, couple second before the ai answers you.
Still happy I paid £28 for it!

Worth paying the extra pound or two for the new sealed one posted earlier. You get the day one edition content. And if it's anything like the previous games extra mission where you got the grenade launcher then it's unmissable.

It's the same here. Never had this issue, unless it was a used ps1 game where the cd holders were broken.
But I've had it a few times with a brand new ps4 game.
Game.co.uk said to record the opening of the sealed case and show evidence if the cd is damaged and they'd replace it.
Luckily I've not had a scratched cd from the 2-3 times I've experienced this.

This never happened to me before I got a PS4 lol. It's like the cases for the PS4 have just slightly less grip than others. half the time mine has fallen out :disappointed:

No disrespect but I wouldn't buy this 2nd hand for this price as will very likely be lower than this for new in a week or two.

£36 credit at cex, and £31 cash trade in.
£37, and 32 at Game with price match.
I managed 5 hours on this game before selling it on the 3rd day. Something felt different from human rev to this, I just didn't enjoy it. Managed £35 cash at the time.

it hasn't really bombed it's just not as good as everyone expected, still a solid 8/10 but don't think it's going to be a game of the year contender as many have said the story and acting is laughable.

By bombed I meant the Day 1 and early sales figures were not really anywhere as good as they hoped they would be which I would assume is down to the mixed reception the title got.
I'd not bother with it if it was sub 20 quid because I just didn't like the last one but horses for course n all that

Good find, but it does suggest the reports that this game bombed were accurate for it to be going at south of 30 quid so soon already.
Never been a fan of these games anyway so I'm not tempted but have some heat regardless
