NRG:IT are a great company, very good customer service and returns.
I bought a P2414H from them which had bad backlight bleed/IPS glow, they sent out another next day, nothing too much trouble.

+1 , they are excellent business , I had a U2414H from them for a year and half and recently had got dead pixels, after couple emails here and there they sorted me out with a replacement and fre DPD delivery and pickup of old faulty one. All in a couple of days :smiley:

Thats a seriously good price. This is so weird as I have been looking at this exact monitor for the past couple of days and hovering over the buy button at amazon for £685...
So would people in general recommend NRG:IT, and whats their after sales support like?

I ordered a 24" 1080p Dell monitor to go with the monitor from this deal which I've had for a while now. The backplate the hid the cables was missing and there was a small scuff. They sent out a backplate and after sending in some photos, they refunded me a little as I was happy to keep it. Looking back I was being a bit rude when emailing, but they still compensated me for the damage. I was offered a 10% discount on future purchases before some cash back, which now I'm regretting taking with this monitor at this price. Great customer service.
I really like this monitor, but after a while the novelty of the size of it wears off like all larger panels finally do. The stands on these monitors are awesome in my opinion and it looks professional. Also, I've had success overclocking it to 75hz if that's any use to anyone - didn't like it when I pushed it further.

Is the 60hz refresh rate good enough for gaming? A lot of money for a screen... but looks really nice. However, this may be refurbished? From the website, but not the page with the monitor: "Refurbished Dell Monitors, Refurbished Dell Laptops, Dell All In Ones & Computer accessories are all available here at very competitive prices."
If this is the case, then these models mays suffer a lot of light bleed and thats why they could have been returned. Seems a common problem with these models

60hz is fine for occasional gaming, if it's to use as a gaming monitor though you don't need the res, get a faster refresh and lower res..

90% of PC gamers (if not higher?) surely use 60Hz. High refresh is desirable for hardcore FPS players looking for an advantage but hardly the norm.

I bought a flat aoc version a few months ago for a similar price. Given the choice, I would go for a curved version... the flat screen is kinda annoying at this horizontal resolution.

Rubbish, I game all the time on my 4k monitor at 60fps and id much rather the games look as good as they do than drop the res for more than 60fps. I've played at 1440 and the difference between that and 2160 is like night and day.

You are playing a 4K slideshow. 1440 at 144Hz is on a different level, the immersion is massively improved, even just windows is improved. Set your monitor to 24Hz and see how bad it feels compared to 60Hz. It feels just as bad when you compare 60Hz vs 120Hz+.

Yes most use 60hz, but that's generally because they don't have £500+ to blow on a new screen when the one they have still works fine. There's also the problem that as the resolution goes up so does the graphics card grunt needed to push it in games. Personally i think [email protected] IPS is the current sweet spot for combined gaming/desktop use without breaking the bank.

I found this useful link which helps explain some of the issues to think about when buying a monitor for gaming.
I use to play a lot of FPS games, so a little wary of buying this monitor. But so tempted all the same as my current monitor has the same refresh rate.

not a bad price at all, had the x34 it was amazing for what it is but in a few games I needed extra fps, now with my z35 I'm more than happy with gaming but miss the extra resolution, this does tempt me because of Dells customer service,also people interested in this should look at the Acer XR34 75z free sync monitor which some have overclocked to 85hz and its £599-619

Can this be overclocked? I've heard people have managed to get LG curved panels to 85 Hz.
In other words no, as the comments in that thread and on other forums say that it suffers from frame skipping when overclocked.

Please Note - The warranty is with NRG IT not the manufacturer
Manual and drivers disc may not be included, but they are easily found on the Dell website. This is a plug & play item so it should work straight out of the box.

Yes, contacted them about it, although I've bought from them before and they do usually come as new in most cases. here's an excert from their policy:
"Question: How do I tell which Dell products on your website are refurbished?
Answer: In short, all monitors, projectors, PCs and laptops on our website are classed as “Refurbished by Dell” unless stated otherwise. We will occasionally receive a batch of brand new stock from Dell, and if we do these items will clearly be marked as “Brand New” in the item title on our website."
Just trying to clear it up for people unsure. Either way, their warranty is brilliant and they do have great customer service if you weren't satisfied with it

Do a factory reset. If not resolved return for a replacement. I have recently done this and replaced with an A01 with an A03 model. Its a known issue. Regarding the item on this page waiting for OLED.

Got the Pg279q myself 1440/165hz/gsync, what a dream. 4k does look great, but not sufficient to warrant giving up those high refresh rates.

Had 7 Dell IPS widescreens off NRG so far for the office. All are perfect.. Did get a really cheap VA panel from them that started ghosting a year later. Support seems good.

Ordered one last Thursday and was delivered Friday. Fantastic monitor. Very very happy. came with all brand new cables and the monitor it self looks brand new. Couldn't be happier with it

WTF are you all talking about with your 144hz is better than 60hz? Consoles max out @ 60fps so by having 144hz you are not benefitting over 60hz, you're all talking out your asses.
