Looks like there is a newer version of this, but this is half the price and is pretty much the same. I think the only downside of this vs the aravis is it only opens on one side.

I got the cobra 3 during an Amazon sale a couple years ago. They're great tents. Have some heat

These are pretty decent tents, seen quite a few kicking around and had a go myself of this and the nearly identical vango version. Decent mid range tent for a budget price so it you are in the market I would definitely go for it, you will need to spend well over a 100 to get better.

I got this in 2013, very easy tent to put up, just two hoops, the groundsheet stays in place so you can put it up in the wet. Tight fit for two but that is the style. Cost me £66 back then, I used it a couple of weeks ago and it is still like new. Bargain price.

If you are patient, you could pick up a Coleman Viper tent from Ebay for around £20. It's about 10 years old now...but it is easily my favourite tent. Can pitch it with just the fly net (for starry nights) - or with the rain cover. A brilliant design and v.v.sturdy tent. I like my one so much that I picked up another one from Ebay (brand new with tags) for £15
You camp with just the flt net? You must be a Souther.

Your comment makes no sense . I thought southerners were supposed to be unable to brave the cold? As it is, I camped with just the fly net on Cape Wrath last year (NW Scotland) so I could see the stars. Nothing nicer than being toasty warm with a chill on the face and a sky full of stars above!

Amazon stock is sold out for the moment, only £90 marketplace sellers now.

Have you tried a bivvy bag approach? Sounds like it should suit your style!
I was intrigued, but I want to try the one man tent first.

No it hasn't. Still available for back order. Due in a few days. Amazon are pretty good with their supply chain estimates. So a good chance of getting one. Ordered one myself.

Yep, tried and hated the bivvy. But that's kind of because my 'camping' trips are often multi week (or sometimes months) cycle tours. So it's nice when the weather turns to not be hunkered down in a bivvy coffin
Also, it's easy to cook (trangia) inside the Viper tent...and just nice to have the extra space to store pannier bags etc. Not for everyone, but works for me

Are you saying you can still get this for £50? If so how?

What I was saying is that the deal was still available but on back order.
That was two days ago. It's gone now.
Where did you get £50 from?

Sorry, it was 41. I'm kinda new to this. Do you think it's possible to see a similar price for this exact tent in the next few weeks?

I'd managed to pick this tent up at this price last night via the Amazon Now app so it's worth checking via Now, it's most double on the rest of the Amazon site.

Where? I downloaded the app but can't see it? It is the amazon prime app?
