I have been looking for a Solar chargable watch for a while and this is the best one I could find in this price. Very good reviews, trusted UK seller, free postage and no charge for the box, also you can get it refitted at HSamuel shops in case it doesnt fit. 5 Years warranty plus one extra year for registering it on Citizen website. Bought one for myself using TCB, limited stock though.

£99 is the usual price for these, don't let the 'was £250' fool you. Lots of shops temporarily put the price up so they can 'discount' them. You'll always be able to find one of these citizen ecodrives for £99 somewhere eg Argos

I have a quite a bit of experience with ECO Drive watches and basically all you have to do to keep them powered is not put them in a drawer for weeks on end. Just ware them and leave them face up some place and they will just help running.
However, the radio controlled ones are outstanding if you can stretch to one.

Good watches, but have to resort to a youtube video twice a year to move it backwards & forwards an hour.
If you think it's a simple as pulling out the crown & twisting - think again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ppDYip3Npc

That's why I paid extra for a radio-controlled and perpetual calendar model.

I've owned this exact same watch for about 2 years now. Think it was about £90 when I purchased it but even at £100 you can't go wrong. Would definitely recommend.

Citizen Eco-drive has been around for years - I've had one for 9 years, no problems with it at all, I love it.

Stick it under a table or fluorescent lamp or even just in the light......thats what happens when you dont use em for a while ...they just need a boost......Got a good one from the missus on me 50th and it stopped because i was scared to wear it ...just never been used to wearing an expensive watch .....at £200 .....

Actually these use a different technology to just solar charging. Eco watches just require light to charge, "Any" light. It doesn't have to be sunlight. Can just be from the lamp light in your bedroom. As long as it gets light of some sort, it charges. Fantastic technology.

TCB is showing 5.5% on online purchases and sale purchase as 2.2% but mine tracked at 2.2%
makes around £2.20 cashback.

to be fair, there's not much else it could get wrong. so I'm glad it manages to do that 1 thing right, for £100.

I own this watch and it has kept brilliant time, it's not too large and I never take it off. Great deal for the money

I have a similar model. It is a brilliant watch for the money. As mentioned above, the "second hand" is really part of the stopwatch mechanism. The real second hand is the small disc at the bottom. The stopwatch hand does turn though by pressing the buttons.
Also, remember to register the watch online for an additional year warranty.
